Pet care experience
I get well with dogs
Over the years, I’ve often looked after my friends’ dogs because they know how much I love dogs and how well I get along with them. Also, in the past I had two dogs of my own. I have experience with small, medium-sized, and large dogs. I’m comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, although for larger dogs I do prefer that they are reasonably well-behaved on a leash. This summer, while I’m staying in Stockholm, I thought it would be lovely to have some fluffy company, especially since many people travel during the summer months.

Marinas took great care of my dog Walter. The communication around, and attention to Walter’s needs was perfect and I got regular updates along the way. I can really recommend!

We were incredibly grateful to find such a caring and reliable dog sitter, especially on short notice and during the weekend! What we appreciated most was the regular updates and observations about how he was doing. It gave us real peace of mind knowing he was in attentive hands. Enzo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. We would not hesitate to book again and highly recommend Marina to anyone looking for a trustworthy, communicative, and compassionate dog sitter.

Marina is my close friend and she has taken care of my mixed breed dog Kirk several times — both when he was still a puppy and I had to go to work, and when he was fully grown. Kirk is a large (about 28 kg) and slightly anxious dog, but I always feel calm and confident leaving him with Marina — she is a true dog lover, knows a lot about dogs' needs and behavior, and absolutely enjoys cuddles too! Marina truly cared for Kirk, took him to the dog park and played with him a lot. I even felt he didn't miss me that much and had a great time — I could tell when I picked him up from Marina's :D
I've known Marina for several years, and she's been the number one person I trust to look after my dog, Spock - a large, very playful labradoodle who can be a bit hard to manage on leash. She’s a real dog person and you can tell she genuinely enjoys spending time with him, taking him on long walks, playing when he’s full of energy, and giving him space when he needs to calm down. There were a couple of times when Spock wasn’t feeling well – once when he threw up and another time when he had diarrhea – and Marina handled both situations calmly and responsibly. She kept an eye on his behavior, and updated me right away so we could decide together what to do next. Whenever I go out of town and Marina is available to watch Spock, I feel completely at ease. I know he’ll be safe, well cared for, and loved. I would absolutely recommend Marina as a responsible and loving pet caregiver!

Schedule
The exact routine of the pet care would depend on the dog, its needs, and energy level, and I’d adjust accordingly. 🏠I work from home fairly often, so on those days I can take the dog out before work, during my lunch break, and again in the evening (If the dog stays with me for several days). So if the dog stays for up to a week, there might be a few times when I have to step out for the maximum of four hours. So the dog should be comfortable being left alone for at least 3-4 hours.

Safety, trust & environment
📌Safery&trust: As a starting point, I would like to know about any special needs, allergies, or potential triggers during walks that the dog might have. 🏠 At home, I would first make sure that anything the dog might be tempted to chew on is put away (rugs, plants, loose objects, etc).
A typical day
🐕 When it comes to exercise and play, I have a lovely dog park nearby. Whether we use it would depend on the dog and whether they enjoy socializing with other dogs. If not, we also have a small enclosed yard where we can play fetch and other games. 🐶And if a dog doesn’t get along well with other dogs, that’s absolutely fine too—we would simply stick to leash walks and quieter routes.
