We are an animal loving family. We have had many doggie guests over the years and once they've visited / stayed with us, they never want to leave. We welcome our guests into our family as if they are our own. Our current dog is a very sweet and affectionate poodle/hound mix named Hannah. She loves all dogs and looks forward to having new and old playmates come to visit. We typically do not accept more than three or four well-natured guests at a time, ensuring that all of our new "temporary" family member guests receive a full share of love and attention. There are rare exceptions. We have a large fully fenced back yard where we love to play tag, throw the ball, play with our squeaky toys & frisbee. If your pet likes the water, that's fine with us. We have lots of pool swimmers, so bring a towel or two for your pets stay (during summer months). Our home is near many dog friendly parks where we walk/jog our guests over to for fun and exercise, if approved by you. Our home also adjoins eight acres of personally manicured woodland trails where we walk and trot with our guests daily, (A real pup-pleaser). Your pet will never be alone. You will have peace of mind knowing your pet is well cared for in a loving and safe home and family environment. Our boarding rates are: $83/night for small, medium, and large dogs $100/night for giant dogs (over 100 pounds), and rarely, young pups not fully trained or behaved. The regular Daycare rate is $75 and $90 respectively. ** We no longer accept Pit-bull breeds, this due to numerous dramas on meet & greets. The first step in the process is the meet-and-greet. This is a scheduled visit to the Happy Dog Inn (HDI), where we get to meet and interact with you and your dog(s), and they get to know us, our home, and yard, and any sweet pups whom happen to be visiting with us . We usually invite you and yours to the beautiful nature trails at this time, so do please wear comfortable walking shoes, should you be interested. If all goes well with the Meet & Greet, the next step is a day-care or overnight trial stay, before accepting any extended reservation. So for all new dog requests, please be sure to send your requests at least 2 or 3 weeks in advance (one+ month during our busy summer months), so that we have enough time for the vetting process. Please bring proof of vaccinations, and ensure your dog has it's required tags. If your dog lives in the Town of Huntington, please visit and send a copy of your pups current rabies vaccination certificate to obtain a tag at \ huntingtonny "dot" .gov /, or visit town hall. We do have a wary cat on the premises, so our guests should be somewhat peaceful with cats. She lives on my mom's side. (We have a mother/daughter home). Please use our driveway for drop-offs and pick-ups. One of us is always home, so your pet will get plenty of care, attention, exercise and fun, and will almost never be alone. We have a fully fenced large yard, with an inground swimming pool. Your pup will be free to roam and play, and swim if they choose to.
