I am currently working for Creighton university as an independent researcher on a research grant! I am in the field of cognitive psychology and hoping to become a therapist one day! One of the things that this has included for me is being a therapy dog handler on campus, so I love working with animals. I will have meetings for my summer research grant every Tuesday and some meetings in between that are still TBD. I live in Minnesota and I am here as a student so I may go home a weekend or two this summer!

Safety, trust & environment
I have always taken care of my own dog at home and many family and neighbor dogs as well. I will be diligent with instructions and the personal background of each pet to give them individualized care. I have been a babysitter, I have worked at a children’s behavioral clinic as well as a childcare center so I am well versed in safety care and I have a background in training for taking care of the ones that mean most to us. Training certifications like that for CPR as well as daycare will translate in the way that I am always prepared and I am able to always stay alert when providing care to furry friends!

Pet care experience
I have been taking care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and lizards for friends, neighbors and family since I was 9. I was also the student therapy dog handler at Creighton University for Cocoa! I love animals and I am excited to be able to take care of them especially since I’m missing my own dog! I helped train my dog who is a German Puddle Pointer from a young age to help him with hunting in the field.
Cat care experience

Marin also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
Marin has loved and cared for our dog (at home) for 13 years. He's an 80 lb Puddlepointer and I'm pretty sure he considers Marin his best friend. She's patient yet firm with him and knows how to handle his "dog anxiety." She's also handled working dogs on the Creighton campus. These dogs are used to assist in students' mental health and reduce anxiety. During Marin's study abroad trip, she befriended many of Greece's un-sheltered animals and would send us pictures of dogs and cats who were surviving on the streets. Marin takes every job she has with care and diligence and is great with animals. She'll be a great employee.
If your looking for the perfect person to care for your pets, Marin is the best fit. She is caring, loving, and kind. I would trust her to care for my pets anytime.
