I work from home most days, so having a dog or two in the house is not an issue. And, i don't mind sitting at other folks' homes, if the dogs are more comfortable in their own environment.

I've recently fenced our backyard with a 6 foot privacy fence, so that visiting dogs will be secure during off-leash play. I live in a quiet neighborhood and there is a large park down the street, so walks can be quite lengthy, if the dog is up for it. I have a few chickens in a coop / run in the backyard. The app asks about my pets but then when I said ‘yes’ only allowed me to pick either ‘dog’ or ‘cat’ - and I couldn’t list birds so I couldn’t update it. 😕. Apparently Rover thinks there are only two kinds of animals??? Visits to the backyard are always supervised to keep everyone safe.

YOUR VET INFO IS NOW REQUIRED. Please do not request my services without providing all pet health information that the app requests and having a willingness to be a good-faith partner in the care of your precious animal. For boardings - please bring the food they’re used to, their normal leash/harness/collar set-up for walks, a chew toy (like a Kong) or some other chew-bone they are used to, and something of comfort (typically a blanket or a stuffy-toy but some owners have sent a shirt that smells like the owner.) ? Other nice to know info: Do they like going for car rides? Do they have any food allergies? Is there anything that you know they're afraid of? What are their favorite activities?

A typical day

Love walking dogs - we have a large park nearby so there's plenty of open space to be able to stay away from strangers. Our neighborhood is typically quiet. Also, the fenced backyard is a space where they can run freely off leash. There's nothing in the backyard that is so precious that they can't let loose and just run in circles or chase a ball.

Pet care experience

I love animals. I used to have three Shar Peis, which can be fairly temperamental, but I think I was their favorite walker. I've walked dogs with Wag for years and have cared for dogs ranging from tiny pups to large Anatolian Shepherds.

As always, Marilyn took great care of Zeke for 7 days. He always looks so happy and relaxed in the daily pictures that Marilyn shares, which allows me to enjoy my vacation without having to worry about Zeke.

Very reliable and always punctual. Considerate of our routines and home. Gives me a peace of mind knowing my anxious girl has someone to lean on while we are gone. Appreciate that Marylin will communicate with me throughout her stay with my precious pup. She is just what my girl needs…..a calm, confident member of the pack

Marilyn was so patient with our little Chalie. And we appreciated her being able to care for him last min. I got ole Ty of updates and pic. Our puppy loves other dogs but needs to warm up to people and Marylin took her time with Chalie and made him comfortable. This was important for us today since I just had surgery and we totally didn’t think of how my hyper little dog baby will be begging for my attention all day and I had to recover. This worked out so well and I’m so grateful that all went well in Marylin’s care. Thank you so much.
