Hi, I’m Marilese. I’ve lived in San Jose my whole life, and working with animals is what I’ve chosen to build my career around. I’ve worked professionally in dog daycares, boarding facilities, and veterinary hospitals, and I have hands-on experience caring for dogs both privately and professionally. ***To ensure availability and commitment, private bookings require 14 days’ notice for cancellations. A 15% fee applies to cancellations made within 14 days of the start date. For bookings longer than 3 weeks, a 10% deposit is required to confirm.***

During house sitting, I provide overnight care, consistent feeding and walks, enrichment tailored to your pet, and respectful care of your home. I’m happy to schedule a meet and greet beforehand, and I send regular text updates and photos so you always know how things are going. This isn’t just a side job for me — it’s my long-term career path, and I take the responsibility seriously. If your pet requires near-constant daytime supervision (more than about 4–5 consecutive hours at home), please let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly and make sure all expectations are met. Marilese just spent a little over a week with our beloved boy Jacoby. Jacoby is a 6 year old black labrador. Marilese took very good care of our Jacoby and he was showered with love and presents and treats...the direct way to his heart. Marilese went the extra mile and respected our space and made sure it was exceptional for our return home. We look forward to having Marilese spend time with Jacoby in our home again. Marilese is a great! She was our first rover experience and she took the time to meet us and our cockapoo puppy Winnie in advance of her stay. She made us feel comfortable that our house and our puppy were in safe hands while we were gone. Marilese stayed with Winnie 3 separate times this summer and each time we returned to a happy pup! Marilese is responsive, punctual, and sends lots of pictures of the fun she is having with our dog. It is very clear that she has a passion for animals. She left our house clean and tidy at the end of her stay. We will definitely be calling her again!

I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to seniors who need extra patience and medical support. I’m trained in administering medications, monitoring health and behavior changes, and staying calm and observant if something unexpected comes up. I know many pets experience separation anxiety when their owners are away. I focus on keeping routines consistent and creating a calm, steady environment so they feel secure. I follow care instructions closely and pay attention to the details that matter to you, because I understand how important that peace of mind is.

- Before watching a dog, I like to know their routine, personality, and any special needs.
