I have had dogs and cats ever since I was 4. However, at age 12 I got my first dog just for me. I took it very serious and have loved taking care of dogs and cats ever since. I have raised a few dogs and cats of my own since they were young, some since actual birth. I have also taken care of a family dog whom was blind and deaf due to being very old. I currently can’t welcome pets into my own home, but I love caring for dogs so I wanted to still find a way to care for them! On days like now when it’s cold and everyone is busy, I have no issue walking your dog and ensuring they still get the outside experience without you worrying about their safety. I am big on giving regular updates and treating every pet as if they are my own.

Mariel took care of my older dog as well as my 2 puppies. My older dog is Jamie, she is blind and is slightly deaf. Mariel did an excellent job of making her feel comfortable and keeping me updated throughout their stay. With my puppies they are a year old and very active dogs. She does an excellent job of caring for them and making sure you know they are always ok.

I’m a part time college student! Pretty much free with all online classes. I occasionally go to the gym but besides that, I’m always home.

Think of it like if I’m babysitting someone’s child. It pretty much is for many dog owners, I would know as my dog Nya was very much my daughter lol. But it’s very important that I ask all the necessary questions so I can care for your pet the same way you would. If you give them treated only during certain behavior than I will too. If you only walk them in certain areas then I will too. It’s important to not only make every pet feel safe and comfortable, but to create an experience that doesn’t feel to far from home. That way not only does the pet feel happy, but once they are back to their owner it feels like they never left.
A typical day
Overall, it depends on the dog. When I have a dog whom is fairly active I try to find a location where they can run around otherwise, I take it as a work out and I will run with them. For calmer pets it’s nice to find a quite location with lots of nature for them to sniff around and do their business in.
