Availability
I work a traditional full time day job, remotely most days. I have option to walk in the mornings and evenings, with some flexibility middays M-Thursday. I walk my dog around 2 miles daily when the temperature allows, because he can be a stubborn Irishman.

Safety, trust & environment
Caring for your dog can be a tad difficult at my household, because I now have 2 SCWTs, who are 9 and 1. I don't want your pup to feel uncomfortable. At your house, I'm happy to play, walk, feed as you see fit. I will put your dog's safety first and will check in if it's too hot since asphalt retains heat and can burn paw pads.
Information Marie V. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know how your dog is on leash when approaching other dogs and/or humans, especially kids. Do you try to stay away? What commands did you teach your dog? What is the ideal walk length for you dog? How are they with strangers?
A typical day
I am open to suggestions in your neighborhood! If a route is not provided, I typically make up a 2 mile long walk. If your dog has run with you in the past, I can run with your dog as well.

Pet care experience
I'm coming back to the Rover community this summer! I slowed down my services thanks to the pandemic and full time employment for the last few years. In my time with Rover, I've had the pleasure of caring for local pups or lucky dogs joining their humans on vacation. Need assistance with your canine flower pup at your wedding? Been there, done that. Unsure of your exact plans and need a flexible care taker, check. Some days my response time may be a little slower than others, but whenever your dog is in my care, they are my priority. If you have an outlandish inkling, feel free to ask away! ******************************************************************************************** As an owner of my active wheaten terrier, I treat Gryffin like my child. So much so my dog owning friends have made me their first contact when they need to board or someone to watch their dog(s) knowing that I will treat them as if they were my own. It amazing to see other people's dogs get excited to see me when I come visit! I take dogs to owner recommended dog parks, plenty of walks, and make sure they're consuming their specific diet. I am also a marathon runner, so if your pup loves to run I'll gladly take them on one. I grew up briefly with a golden retriever when I was a small child, then my family adopted Spunky, my first wheaten, back in 1998 and he brought so much life to our family for 13 years. Some non -dog people would label me as obsessed but I have gravitated to dogs my entire life. They provide humans unconditional love, so I believe they also deserve love and attention. I got Gryffin back in 2014, thoroughly reminding me of what attention a puppy needs. Yes, he would be sorted into Gryffindor.

I needed help in a pinch and Marie provided excellent service!

Marie is great! So glad we found her in Orleans. Harry loves her and he's getting the exercise he needs!
Marie responded quickly and made extra time for our dogs. She provided thorough messages and great pictures. Five stars. We absolutely plan to ask her to care for our dogs again.
