Hi there! I’m Marie — a lifelong animal lover, foster, and experienced pet owner who’s cared for cats and dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities (including seniors and pets with special needs). I recently relocated to the Lake Norman area to spend time with family while I look for my next engineering opportunity in Raleigh, and I’m excited to offer pet care locally in the meantime. Whether I’m out hiking with a happy pup or curling up with a purring cat, I truly love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their people are away. I’ve often been called the “best auntie” to my friends’ and family’s pets — the one who spoils them with affection, keeps them on routine, and always makes sure they’re happy and cared for. Over the years, I’ve fostered more than 70 cats and dogs through shelters in the San Diego area, helping pets with all kinds of needs find their confidence and forever homes. I bring that same training, patience, and expertise to caring for your furry family members — so you can rest easy knowing they’re in loving, capable hands.

I take a holistic approach to pet care, focusing on each animal’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. That means plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, affection, and a safe, clean environment while their family is away. Every pet is unique, and I believe their care should reflect that — I take the time to understand their personality, routines, and comfort levels so they feel secure and loved. As a pet parent myself (who knows how hard it is to leave my own cat behind!), I make sure to send regular pictures and updates so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy and cared for. I’ll look after your pets and your home as if they were my own

Marie has watched our two dogs and two cats and has fostered countless animals for rescues. She is passionate about providing the BEST care possible. She loves playing with the dogs, walking them, and giving them a lot of pets and affection. She is also a cat lover and has one of her own that she clearly adores. She provides cats with great enrichment activities and makes sure they feel comfortable with a new human around. I would completely trust Marie to watch all of my animals.
