Hello! I'm Marie, an experienced teacher who loves animals and helping others. I was a special education teacher for 12 years, and now I use those skills to be a caregiver who is observant and tries to safely include each dog in our small group. I've also taught adults to speak English. (I'm fluent in Spanish and familiar with several other languages.) On a typical day, my husband or I am home about 20-23 hours as this both of our full-time jobs. Currently, we own 2 dogs and I also have experience owning cats and snakes. We both thoroughly enjoy helping others, but what sets me apart is my experience in observing and caring for a wide variety of children and adults. My knowledge and experience in education help me to ethically and efficiently care for pets. Also, even if it says I'm unavailable, please message me, especially if it's for drop ins. I do not understand Rover's method for showing whether or not I'm available because it does not seem to correlate with what I mark.

Harlo and I absolutely loved Marie and all the friends he made today at daycare. He didn’t want to leave! Loved all the many pictures she sent me through out day. 😊 We will definitely be rebooking again!

Excellent care for Ernie as always!! He always comes back a tired and happy pup.
Our dog Bo was very tired when he came home. He had a fun day! He spent a lot of time outdoors playing with the other dogs. Marie made sure Bo and we were comfortable with his stay. Marie communicates well and sent lots of pictures!

My guarantee is that I will keep your pet safe and loved, treating them as I would my own pet. I would like to know name, breed, weight/size, age, any relevant medical history like allergies, any fears they may have, treat preference, usual sleeping situation (crate, dog bed, couch, human bed, etc)
A typical day
My dogs and any dogs that come play with us enjoy the large fenced yard with room to run and chase full speed, play fetch, lie in the sun, "help" me tend the yard, etc.

Availability
On a typical day, Jorge and/or I are home about 20-23 hours. We have 2 dogs that we own & and therefore care for daily, so any guest dog we have joins our routine with our dogs.
