At the client's home, I will come with a list of questions to make sure I am maintaining the established routine. Cleaning, feeding, potty breaks, walks will be regularly scheduled. I also will take extra care to make sure windows/doors/fences are locked when needed.

It’s important for me to know feeding habits, treat rules and allergies ahead of time. Also, what their normal schedule is and house rules about going outside or any off limits area for their pets.
A typical day
It depends on the pet and their energy level. I like to walk dogs to a park so we can play catch and fetch with lots of room. If they’re a big sniffer, I like to play a game called “Find It” where they can train on scent work by finding treats I hide. I typically would ask the client what their dog or cat prefers to play with.

Pet care experience
As a former teacher, I know how to build relationships with human and pet alike. I will be there to listen to and take care of your pets. I have experience with dogs from big to small. I grew up with a chihuahua and have been a nanny for many years to my sister's sharpei. I can gently clean out those folds while at the same time reinforcing the training you have already started with your pet. As a die-in-the wool teacher, I can also teach some new tricks if that's what you want! I would love to be welcomed into your family and take care of your pet!
