Hello, my name is Marianne! I’m originally from Montreal, Canada, and moved to the UK 10 years ago. I’ve always loved animals and have plenty of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I’m now based in Bristol with my husband and our very friendly Cockapoo, Acorn! 🐶 Acorn is a happy, sociable boy who absolutely loves meeting new dogs and having friends to play with. We have a secure garden at home and live close to lots of lovely parks, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks, playtime and plenty of sniffing! While living in London, I volunteered at Vauxhall City Farm and pet-sat through Rover for a few years alongside my full-time job. I absolutely loved having furry companions around and developed some lovely bonds with the dogs I looked after regularly. I left London in 2022 to travel for two years, during which I volunteered in several animal shelters and gained experience caring for injured and special-needs dogs. These were challenging but incredibly rewarding experiences, and taught me how to work with different breeds, personalities and behaviours, and how to adapt to each dog's individual needs. Now that I’m back in the UK, I’m so happy to be pet sitting again! I genuinely love having animals around and would be delighted to welcome your dog into our home. ❤️

We booked Marianne at the last minute while visiting Bristol as a family, and from the off she was responsive and incredibly helpful. She kept us updated throughout the day while we were out and about in the city, which gave us real peace of mind. Marianne took some of the best photos we have of Lilly, and Lilly came home tired and happy after a full day of adventures. She was clearly far happier getting proper walks and attention in the countryside than she would have been stuck with us in the city centre. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Marianne again, highly recommended.
Our dog's day-stay with Marianne went very well and she came back happy and calm and we would definitely be happy for her to stay with Marianne again in the future.

Marianne looked after Murphy brilliantly!! They went on lots of walks and adventures together and Marianne kept us updated on how he was getting on. Will definitely be booking in again!

Schedule
I work from home, so I’ll be around for most of the day. I take Acorn, my friendly Cockapoo, out for a good walk at lunchtime, and we’ll usually go out again before or after work depending on your dog’s routine. We also have a garden for some extra outdoor time. I’m happy to do overnight and longer stays, and I’m always up for getting outside and exploring.

I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible and make sure they’re comfortable in our home. We have a secure, enclosed garden where dogs can safely spend some time outside, and Acorn is very sociable and loves other dogs. I’ll always make sure they get along and have their own space when needed. I’ll also send you regular updates and photos while they’re staying with me. Pets
A typical day
We’ll usually go for a good walk during the day, with time in the garden and some play at home. I live close to Trooper's Hill. which has a gated area where dogs can run off-lead. As I work from home, I’m around for plenty of attention and the occasional game of tug or fetch between calls.
