Eat, Play, Love, am I right?
When I was a really young child I found a stray cat in a bush - that cat is now 20 and sleeps on my bed every night. When I was 17, my family got a really lovely Labrador called Pepper. He was the best dog, loved his walks so much, we’d take him 3 times a day! Pepper got very very unwell due to a rare illness and we had to say goodbye to him. During the time he was sick - we did everything we could’ve to make him comfortable. I’d be more than happy to provide the same amount of love and care to any animal, not just my own. Family pets usually come to stay with us when their owners are on holidays!

I’ve known Marianne for many years and would vouch for her to be the most trustworthy, caring and animal-orientated person ever! She’s amazing with animals, having two dogs of her own and they become best friends. Marianne is mature and responsible yet fun and enthusiastic, so your pet would have a fantastic time in her care :)
Marianne is a very conscientious carer for all animals. She loves cats and dogs. She will notice any tiny change in their behaviour and will respond to whatever your pet needs. She loves grooming and cuddling them. She has administered medication to cats and dogs when needed. She is calm in a crisis. She will look after your pets as if they were her own. She has looked after my 2 dogs and my 3 cats and I wouldn't trust them with anyone else.
Marianne is a really lovely, caring person. She’s really affectionate with animals and takes the time to learn about them, getting to know their personalities and routines. She has looked after my two cats a few times now and always likes to bring them extra treats and toys, which is very kind. Marianne is very responsible and respectful of my home, and this is why I choose ask her to take care of my two chunky cats while I’m away.

I’m currently working part-time as a pottery lecturer on, therefore I have some spare time in the week free to pop in for pet care!

Safety, trust & environment
When taking care of pets in someone else’s home, I’d be sure to watch them the whole time - as that is the sole purpose of me being there! Also I’d ensure that any kind of hazards (such as enticing chewable wires) are all either removed or dealt with! I’d be sure to communicate this with the owners beforehand so nothing comes as a surprise (like finding things being switched off or moved into a cupboard etc).
A typical day
We would go for multiple walks a day in a few different places - allowing them to explore lots of places and do lots of sniffing! We would play fetch with chuck-it balls and sticks. If it’s something you’d dog enjoys - I’d allow them to go for little swims in shallow streams.

- I feel that understanding the pets needs is essential before even taking on the responsibility of caring for them. I’d love to know things such as: does your pet have any additional needs? What kind of behaviour does your pet usually exhibit? How often do they eat? How often do they go for walks? Do they walk on lead/off lead or a combination of both? Do they like specific areas when walking - eg. Long grass? What is your pet’s recall like? And many other important questions - to fully ensure your pet is properly taken care of and feeling as comfortable as possible in your absence!
