Animals have a special place in my heart, and I believe every pet deserves care that reflects their individual personality, routine, and needs. While I’m new to offering pet care professionally through Rover, I have years of hands-on experience caring for my own dogs as well as dogs and cats belonging to friends. I’ve had my current rescue, Toby, a Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix, for almost two years, and I previously had another pit bull mix, rescue dog. Because Toby is an intelligent, high energy working breed mix, I’ve spent a lot of time learning about canine behavior, training, enrichment, and the importance of both physical exercise and mental stimulation. We regularly work on training, play, walks, and activities designed to keep him engaged and happy. I’m also very attentive to nutrition and overall well-being and even prepare Toby’s homemade food myself. Most importantly, I understand that every animal is different. Some dogs need lots of activity and interaction, while others are happiest with a quiet walk and companionship. Cats have their own personalities and preferences, too! I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Whether I’m walking your dog, caring for your pets while you’re away, or staying in your home with them, I’ll care for them with the same attentiveness and kindness I would want someone to give my own.
