Before I start a shift with a dog, I like to know as much as possible about their condition and needs to give them the best care. I’ll ask about their health—any allergies, medications, or specific conditions I should be aware of. It’s important for me to understand their behavior, too. Are they shy or nervous around strangers? Do they get along with other dogs? I’ll also ask about their daily routine, like feeding times, exercise preferences, and any training or commands they’re used to. If there’s anything that comforts them, like a favorite toy or blanket, I’d love to know. The more I understand about their needs and personality, the better I can ensure they’re safe, happy, and comfortable while I’m with them.
A typical day
I’ll take the pets on walks, play fetch, and engage them with their favorite toys. If they enjoy socializing, I’ll visit a dog park or set up interactive games to keep them active and happy. I also make time for cuddles and relaxation to keep them comfortable and calm.

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, growing up surrounded by pets and caring for them every day. They’ve always been a big part of my life, and my passion for animals has only grown over the years. Taking care of pets comes naturally to me, and it’s something I truly enjoy. Being a dog sitter would be the perfect job because it allows me to do what I love most — caring for and connecting with animals.
