I have had pets since I was 4 years old and feel that I have a hole in my life if I do not have a pet. I have a special needs dog that requires daily medication and special care. Taking care of her gives me joy and purpose. My neighbors tell me that I am their dog's favorite human because I always have treats when I visit.
