I’ve been a nanny and pet owner for over 15 years. Animals are a central part of my life and I’m constantly seeking ways to support the greater community. I raised a pure bread Doberman that was ACG certified. We went to the best trainers in California for 7 years. I’m a nurturer by nature and am eager to shift the perspective and community of bullied breeds.

We have left our sweet German Shepherd with Miriam on numerous occasions, but this stay was the longest--almost 2 1/2 weeks. Miriam sent us regular updates and pictures of our girl, looking comfortable and happy, which really helped ease our mind and allowed us to enjoy our trip. Miriam even had play dates for Hilde with a puppy and included her in her family barbeque. She made Hilde feel like she was part of her family and we really appreciate her including Hilde in all her activities.
Mariam was AMAZING!!!!! I cannot stress how wonderful, caring, loving and kind Mariam was with my two fur babies. One of my girls has medical needs and Mariam was so responsible and went over the top to ensure all her medical needs were addressed. Her home is the perfect setting and provided the most inviting and comfortable environment for my girls. Will absolutely be a repeat customer! Cannot rave enough about how incredible Mariam was.
This is the second time this year that we have left our German Shepherd with Mariam. She stayed with Miriam for a week. We are always apprehensive leaving our sweet girl. However, knowing the care and comfort that Mariam provides for her allows us to vacation with peace of mind. Miriam keeps us updated with comments and pictures. She has a large outdoor area for our dog and a large, clean, and comfortable indoor space. We are so appreciative to have found such a good and caring person for our girl.
This was the first time that I used Rover and i was anxious about leaving my 3 year old German shepherd while we went on a 4 day trip. This is also the first time that my dog stayed with strangers. Mariam was so reassuring with pictures and updates. She took our dog out for walks and to the Farmer's Market. Mariam also has a great space inside and outside for dogs. My dog looked happy and comfortable. I will definitely ask Mariam to care for our dog again on our next trip.
Mariam is amazing! She made us feel so comfortable on our 3 week vacation. Communication was amazing. Our boarder collie needs a lot of attention and she went above and beyond to meet his needs. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to seeing her again. Thanks you!!!
There is no one who loves and cares for dogs more than Mariam. In the many years I’ve known her, she has made sure her dogs and the dogs she has dogsat have been spoiled and cared for in every way possible. She is dedicated and hard working and dependable. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about dogs, their behaviors, and training. After she watched my German Shepherd, I’ve never wanted anyone else to care for my dog!

I’m currently transitioning and looking for my next full time corporate career. I’ve been a talent leader in tech for the past 8 years - taking a pause and getting into some work that fulfills me.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in the country in Modesto with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. We’ve always had well trained animals in the house, but also love for them to feel a part of the family. We give them the best food, best care and of course the best cuddles. We’ve worked with rescues, less able animals and strict disciplined ones. We cater to whatever the animal needs most.
Pets
A typical day
I love walking and finding outdoor activities - whether that be going to a nice park or trail, or playing fetch on the lawn for a few hours. If we’re forced to be in doors because of weather, I have a few activities like hide and seek we can work on.
