I've had an assortment of animals my whole life and am an avid animal lover. I have had dogs my entire adult life. All the way from puppies to seniors with special needs, short term and long term fosters, and rescues with unique personalities. I have also had dogs that needed surgical procedures and rehab so I know how to take care of animals who need physical therapy and/or extra special attention. I am known in my circles as the dog whisper and am on all of my friends emergency contact for anything that they need advice with. I believe in building a bond of trust and doing positive reinforcement training techniques with animals and humans alike.

Mariah was fantastic! She was super communicative, sent us a ton of photos and videos throughout the stay and left our place immaculately clean. We would absolutely love to have her take care of the boys again!

Mariah provided the best care for senior kitty, our home, and plants while we were away for vacation. It’s hard to leave our older girl who takes meds several times a day and has lots of needs, but we were at ease with her in Mariah’s care. She gave her so much love and attention, while also being very communicative and respectful of our space. Thank you Mariah!
We hired Mariah to house and dog sit our Dog Huckleberry at our house in Olympia this weekend. Mariah instead took him to a very remote location Olympic National Forest near Forks, WA on the Hoh River for the ***entire weekend***. (He has a Fi collar and I receive regular notifications when he leaves home.). I did inform Mariah about the tracking features of the Fi collar and invited her to join the app as a dog walker so she could trace him in case he ran off. During this time, Mariah was texting and provided updates that he was doing well and hiking with friends. She also indicated that they were staying at night in Olympia at our home and he was doing well/she had washed the sheets in anticipation of our return (all inferring that she was staying at our house). While we discussed her taking him for hikes, our assumption and understanding that she would be returning at night/on a regular basis to our house during the weekend. We did not provide permission to have Huckleberry stay AWAY from our house at a very remote location with strangers. He also returned home with scraped/raw skin on all 4 paws (probably caused by hiking prolonged distances on rocky terrain— this now requires veterinary care and is causing him pain when he is walking. While Mariah seems to genuinely love animals her lack of honesty and attention to his care in this situation is deeply concerning.
Mariah made it very easy for us to go out of town. She sent us messages, pictures, videos throughout the day and made sure our pets were safe and happy. I would recommend Mariah to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Schedule
Pet and house sitting is my main gig. Which means that I have an open schedule and am available to help out with your fur babies. I would love to go to the beach, hike the trails and go on local adventures with your doggie(s)! Or I'll bring a stack of books and hang out with your kitty.
