Safety, trust & environment

Whether I’m visiting your home for a walk, drop-in, or overnight stay, I do everything I can to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. I follow your instructions closely—mealtimes, meds, playtime, litter boxes, the works—and always give your pet the attention, affection, and patience they deserve. For dogs, I bring a calm, structured energy to walks and make sure they get both exercise and fun. For cats, I understand that comfort and familiarity are everything—I move at their pace and respect their boundaries while still making time for play or snuggles if they’re into it. Every visit is about making your pet feel safe, seen, and loved—just like they would with you

Information Mariah K. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide the best care possible. It’s helpful to know your pet’s daily schedule, feeding instructions, and any medications they may need, along with their normal behavior so I can quickly notice if something seems off. I also appreciate knowing how your pet does on walks or during visits—such as if they are friendly with other dogs, shy around strangers, reactive on leash, or have any triggers like loud noises or certain situations. For cats, it’s helpful to know their comfort level with interaction, favorite toys, hiding spots, and litter box routine. Any medical history, allergies, or health concerns are very important to share ahead of time. I also like to know your preferences for updates, photos, and communication while you’re away so you feel comfortable and informed. The more I know about your pet’s normal routine and personality, the better I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re gone.

A typical day

When I care for your pets, I focus on keeping them happy, comfortable, and engaged while you’re away. For dogs, I enjoy taking them on safe, structured walks where they can get fresh air, exercise, and plenty of sniffing time (which is their version of exploring the world!). I also like to include playtime such as fetch, tug-of-war, or simply spending time with them so they feel relaxed and not lonely. I occasionally bring my daughter with me during house sitting stays. She loves animals and enjoys helping me provide extra love and attention to the pets in my care. I always make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and have a calm environment while I’m there. I respect each owner’s preferences and am happy to discuss this ahead of time before booking. For cats, I provide calm, gentle interaction based on their personality. This can include interactive play with toys like feather wands or laser pointers, giving them attention if they’re social, and making sure they feel secure and comfortable in their home environment. I also make sure they have fresh water, clean litter boxes, and a peaceful routine. No matter the pet, I treat them like my own—paying attention to their behavior, comfort level, and energy needs so they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away.

Loving Care for Your Best Friend

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m Mariah, a lifelong animal lover and proud pet parent to a big, goofy dog and two sweet cats. While I’m new to professional pet care, I’ve spent years caring for my own animals and know firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family. I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting—and I bring a calm, playful, and structured approach to every visit. Whether it’s a quick check-in, a good walk, or keeping your pets company while you’re away, I treat every animal like one of my own: with love, patience, and attention to their unique needs. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to give you peace of mind—and your pets a new friend they can feel safe and happy with.
