Friend of all cats!
I have been taught from birth how to care for cats (and dogs). I owned my own dog for the first time when I was 7, and cared for him through puppyhood all the way until 2020, when he passed away at the ripe old age of 15. Caring for him as a senior dog has opened my heart to all senior animals. I've always enjoyed caring for animals, even when they present challenges such as being afraid or particularly energetic. I generally find that animals trust me and my calm demeanor. I began pet sitting and dog walking professionally in April 2023, and have since grown to love the career. The positive feedback I received from my clients in Bismarck, North Dakota has inspired me and spurred my dedication. Now that I am in school for accounting, I only have time for one check-in a day, and having my own dog now means I take him for regular walks, so I am limiting myself to one daily check-in for cats whose owners are traveling.

Safety, trust & environment
If you are a new client, I absolutely need to set up a meet and greet with you first. I am careful with doors that lead to the outside because some pets are runners and escape artists. I am able to work with puppies that need to be potty trained, and I even know how to get kittens to use the litterbox if they have trouble. I can administer medicine the way that you do when a pet takes medication. Overall, all attention is on the pet(s), and they will receive the care that you hope for.

Mariah was absolutely outstanding! She provided us with daily updates. Our home was exceptionally well cared for, reflecting her attention to detail and dedication. Mariah was not only incredibly responsive, but also demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility. She ensured that our dog received daily walks, timely medication, and plenty of playtime. We truly appreciate everything Mariah did for us and our pets!
Mariah did a successful job of walking our dog while we were in Europe and our dog was staying with my elderly parents. However, her transportation issues made it very difficult for her to commit to a consistent timing of the walks. Additionally, my kind Mother found herself compelled to drive Mariah to the bus station to assist her which was NOT why I hired a dog walker. And by the end she had been texted regarding Mariah's difficult financial circumstances, requesting drives both ways to the bus station or she would have to cancel the walk. This is both unprofessional of great concern to me regarding my elderly parents. I believe Mariah's work ethic to be high... as she continued to attempt to fulfill her obligations. But relying on the help of those in her employ is unacceptable. 2 stars because I believe her dog walking skills are fine. But perhaps she should focus on housesitting until she resolves her transportation issues.
Mariah was the perfect person to come and check in on my doves and cats! My cats really liked her and they're not very fond of new faces. While we were away one of my cats got an injury. Mariah was o too it and able to give my cat the care he needed. He was in excellent hands!
Mariah took excellent care of our two dogs. I received pictures & communication throughout the stay. She left our home clean & near. I would highly recommend her.
Mariah was a great fit to house sit and watch our two large dogs. She was communicative, responsible, and reliable. We really appreciated her flexibility to watch the dogs for a few more days after a family friend cancelled on us. We will definitely reach out to her again for future needs. Thanks Mariah!
Mariah was amazing for caring for my dog for a late notice trip out of town. She was very calm, patient, and responsive to the needs of a little territorial Yorkshire terrier! It went extremely well and was such a relief. Thank you for everything!

Schedule
I am a student now. As such, I will only do one cat drop-in per day. I took some time away from pet care to gauge my ability to focus on school, and I feel ready to ease back into it. I can only do drop-ins in the evenings on weekdays. I have a little more availability on weekends.
