Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted dogs to be a big part of my life. I begged my parents for one, but instead they had me start dog sitting to prove I was responsible enough. After many dog sleepovers, we finally welcomed Kirby into our family for my 12th birthday. Since then, I've helped care for him every chance I get—whether that's long walks through the prairie, playtime to keep him happy and engaged, or making sure he gets plenty of attention and cuddle time. Caring for Kirby taught me that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel comfortable and loved.
