Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine as a stay-at-home mom. My family homeschools and loves dogs — we're with our pups constantly, and they're truly part of our family. We make sure every guest feels at home and gets plenty of attention. Typical day: Your dog's day starts with a morning walk, followed by at least a 30-minute walk at lunch, weather permitting. On hot days, we'll swap walks for backyard play time instead. Throughout the day, they'll be right alongside us during homeschooling hours and get plenty of playtime in between. In the evenings, they'll join us for a family walk, then wind down with us on the couch for some TV time. If you'd prefer no walks for your dog, I'm happy to do snuggle sessions instead — just let me know your preferences and I'll personalize their stay accordingly. 😊 House rules: Dogs are welcome on the couch and bed unless you'd prefer otherwise — just let me know your house rules and I'll follow them. As a free nightly service, I also love reading to dogs before bedtime and giving them a treat you provide (just let me know if you'd like this included). I only use treats owners bring, since I don't want to introduce anything new that could upset their stomach. *Rawhides aren't permitted during boarding stays — it's a safety precaution I take with all dogs in my care, regardless of how they do with them at home. Feel free to bring a safer chew alternative your dog is already used to, like a Kong or dental chew, since I don't introduce anything new during their stay. Please also bring your dog's bed and any blankets that help them sleep comfortably. Please note: Holiday rates apply automatically to all bookings during the holiday season. I choose to stay home during this time — forgoing my own holiday plans and travel — so I can be available for your family. I truly appreciate your understanding, even for my long-time clients. 💛

Safety, trust & environment

I treat every pet as if they were my own, with daily photo and video updates so you always know how they're doing. Safety: Our home has 24/7 pet cameras, secure/checked fencing, stair gates, and a front-door gate for escape artists. We're in a safe neighborhood and almost always home with the dogs, including during homeschool hours. Home environment: Your pet joins our daily routine alongside our two resident dogs — a playful 3-year-old pug and a friendly mini Bernedoodle in manners training. Both are great with guests, have never bitten or hurt another dog, and have their own crate/room for downtime. We supervise all dogs together, give breaks to avoid overstimulation, and rotate as requested. All backyard time is supervised. We also offer quiet boarding for anxious small/medium dogs. I'm available 24/7, in person or by camera, because every dog deserves love, security, and to feel valued.

Information Maria W. would like to know about your pet

What I need to know ahead of time Before your dog's stay, please share their health background, daily routine, feeding amounts, and any medical conditions or predisposed health issues. If your dog has any condition that affects walking or eating, let me know in advance so I can prepare the home and set up feeding areas accordingly, including their own space if needed. Please also let me know if your dog has any resource guarding around food, bones, or people. Meet & Greet (FREE, 15–30 min, REQUIRED — no exceptions) Since I have kids in the home, every dog must pass a meet and greet before booking. Your dog needs to be comfortable with other dogs and good with children. If a dog marks, shows aggression, destroys property, or otherwise isn't a good fit during the meet and greet, we won't be able to accept the stay. This helps us confirm a good match upfront and avoid issues later — some dogs behave differently once actually dropped off, so this also gives us a chance to see how they interact with our son and resident dogs. Supervision & safety I supervise all dogs closely around our 8-year-old and during all backyard time. Cameras are set up throughout the home so I can check in while running errands or at the gym. Crate/pen requirement All dogs must be crate or pen trained for use while I'm out running errands. New environments can cause stress behaviors like scratching at doors, chewing, peeing on carpets or anxiety — a crate or pen keeps everyone safe during that time. We can make exceptions in some cases, so if crating is a concern, just talk to me and we'll figure out what works. 🙂 Vaccination records required Please provide up-to-date shot records before your dog's stay, including Bordetella, DHLP, and Rabies. Update your Rover profile with current photos and vaccination info — this keeps your dog and every other dog staying with us safe and healthy. Thank you! Vet & emergency info Please add your vet clinic's name and phone number to your dog's profile, along with an emergency contact in case I can't reach you. Looking forward to meeting you both soon! Add-ons through end of stay tip add on: Bath & Blow out— $10 Teeth brushing — $12- Take-home 🪥 toothbrush Paw/nose balm — $5 Bandana — $7 Bow — $5 * 10% donated to DFW Pug Rescue to help fostering needs for pugs in need!

A typical day

A typical day includes walks, feedings, and playtime — whatever's on your dog's routine! I treat every dog in my home like my own. Throughout the day, they'll get plenty of one-on-one attention, free time in our fenced backyard, and enrichment like puzzle toys or sniff walks to keep their mind active, along with plenty of rest and quiet time in between. They'll also be right alongside us during homeschooling hours. At bedtime, alongside putting our son to bed, I read to your dog and give them a treat (if allowed) before snuggling in for the night. Reading, treats, and snuggles are all FREE with every stay. We also run HEPA filter air purifiers in every room to keep dander down and allergies at bay. Between each dog's stay, I sanitize and clean thoroughly, wash all bedding weekly, and vacuum and mop daily — each room even has its own HEPA-filter robot vacuum and mop that runs daily between cleanings.

Pet care experience

Your dog will be well socialized, exercised, and cared for in a calm, stress-free environment. We have a spacious, newer home with a fully fenced yard, perfect for accommodating your furry family member. I bring years of hands-on experience, including volunteering at local animal shelters and helping train dogs for the blind. Adopting my own pets from foster homes has been one of the great joys of my life. My family and I are also active volunteers with DFW Pug Rescue, where we help with freedom runs for local shelters and stay engaged in the rescue community.

Great experience for our anxious dog to stay with Maria rather than barking at our house guests all evening! She was so wonderful with him and he had so much fun!

We have been using Maria for quite some time, and she and her family are wonderful. I always know my dog is in good hands when they are caring for him. Maria is incredibly caring, reliable, and attentive, which gives us complete peace of mind. I also love that she regularly sends pictures and updates, so I can see how my dog is doing while I am away. We truly appreciate the love and care she provides and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter 🐾❤️
