I currently have full availability until mid June to end of July when I start my dog grooming course. I will have days in between off, and I will be available for evening walks and check ins. I respond quickly and honestly so you can feel assured with your plans.

In a pet owner’s home, I treat the space with full respect and keep things clean, tidy, and consistent so pets feel comfortable in their familiar surroundings. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, especially those who are shy, anxious, or need a gentler approach, and I adjust my care to suit their needs. I always follow each pet’s normal routine closely, including feeding times, walks, play, rest, and any specific instructions from the owner. I live with my parents (I’m 30, it’s 2026, it is what it is) in a semi-detached house. Your fur babies will have access to the nice large, fenced garden, warm converted garage space and open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area. We are an animal-loving family.

Please let me know if your dog has good recall and is well behaved off leash. I will always build a rapport with your fur baby before allowing off leash shenanigans. I love getting to know dogs funny little quirks, health issues, favourite treats and toys.
A typical day
I am in walking distance from many parks and open areas for off leash chaos! (Glebelands, Victoria Park, Friary Park, Stephens House.) Lots of local cafes are pet friendly, so typically we will grab a coffee on the way to the park and then go crazy in the park. If your dog is not so high energy, we can go for a slow stroll and play ball in the garden. I have a car and happy to drive further to Hampstead health if you have a posh dog or any other preferred place. Happy to arrange pick up and drop off too.

Pet care experience
Calm, experienced pet sitter with a lifelong love of dogs and cats. I grew up with a family dog for 13 years, which gave me a deep understanding of daily care, routine, and the bond pets build with their people. I’ve travelled across Australia caring for cats and dogs in a variety of homes, gaining hands-on pet sitting experience with different routines, personalities, and environments. I’ve also worked with a support dog puppy breeder for 3 weeks, where I gained practical experience with training, structure, and early development. Alongside this, I’m training as a dog groomer and learning canine first aid, so safety, care, and attention to detail are always a priority. Most of all, I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, settled, and cared for while you’re away.

Maria regularly looks after my cat, Miso. He is a little bit shy and likes to stick to a routine, which Maria follows without any fuss. She has a calm and caring nature, and quickly bond with animals. She is well versed at reading animal behaviours and subtle cues, which makes her the perfect pet companion. She is a clean and tidy house guest, is self sufficient and reliable, is very easy to contact and always communicative. I was also happy to receive lots of updates on how Miso was doing while I was away. When I returned, Miso was calm, happy and had clearly been well looked after. Thank you Maria!
