Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard and I accompany the dogs outside when they are let out. Because of this hands-on approach, I can spot any potential hazards should they unexpectedly be encountered.
Information Maria S. would like to know about your pet
Any chronic health concerns, behavioral issues, or allergies are things that should be shared upfront. My only breed restriction is against pit bulls, due to the restrictions of our Homeowners’ Association.
A typical day
We live about a mile or so from a dog park and we frequent it almost daily. We play catch, and also practice commands with both food and non-food rewards and other positive reinforcements (praise and love pats on the head, and of course, belly rubs).

Treating Your Fur-Baby Like Our Own
Pet care experience
Our dog, Zeus, was a foster fail. We rescued him from Kentucky, and when we started fostering him, he was heartworm positive. He also had crate anxiety and needed dental extractions. We nursed him back to health and ever since he has been a joy to us. We take him to the dog park almost daily (sometimes twice!) and he is very well socialized. Someone is always there to attend to the dog, be it for frequent potty breaks or frequent feedings. Our children are 14 and 21, and we have a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood. The dog is allowed on the furniture, and is welcome in our beds. I work from home on a permanent basis which allows me the flexibility to care for dogs in my home. We live near a dog park, which we frequent. I have a fenced-in backyard with a sizable space for the dogs to run around. I treat all dogs like my own, including positive reinforcement and token rewards.
Reviews

Maria and her family were fantastic hosts for our eight-year-old chocolate lab! We were a last-minute booking, and Maria was very accommodating about setting up a meet and greet just days before our trip. She kept us updated with pictures and our lab had a lot of fun playing with her dogs.

Maria took such great care of our 2 dogs! She sent pictures and ensured they were well taken care of with walks and large fenced yard. Would definitely use her again!!

My dog Elle had a fantastic time and was well cared for. All communication was prompt and respectful! They were very sweet to extend our pickup time a couple of hours when we hit traffic. I would definitely have Elle return in the future :)

We're in the process of adapting our dog to Maria, as he has a lot of anxiety, and in our meetings Maria has always been very patient and loving with him, and we've noticed that he's getting more and more comfortable with her.
