Hi there! I'm Maria, a lifelong dog lover living in the Plateau. I've been caring for dogs, my own and others', since I was a teenager. When I moved to Montréal, I sadly had to leave my mini dachshund behind, and ever since, I've missed the joy of having a furry companion around. As your sitter, my top priority is making sure your dog feels happy, safe, and loved while sticking to their usual routines. I currently work part-time from home, which means I’ll be able to give your pup my full attention throughout the day. Whether it's playtime with their favourite toys, interactive sniff-and-search games, or lots of belly rubs, I’m here to make their stay as fun and comfortable as possible. I know how tough it can be to leave your pet, so I’ll happily send you frequent photo updates to help ease your mind and brighten your day. I also have experience caring for foster dogs, including those who need reinforcement training, medication, or recovery support. We had a good experience having Maria watch our dog, Olive, over the long weekend! Even with a bit of unexpected overlap with another dog, Maria was very mindful of Olive’s anxiety and went the extra mile by introducing the dogs outside in a neutral environment so they could transition into the house together. That was really appreciated. She managed the situation to make sure Olive stayed happy and comfortable the whole stay.

I do pet care full time so I’ll be at home all day to give your pet close attention and care whenever they need it.

Safety, trust & environment
I live on the second floor of a duplex, so please let me know if your pet needs help getting up the stairs. I have access to a fenced courtyard for dog’s quick potty breaks and there are plenty of parks nearby for fun walks and playtime. I also provide toys for cats and dogs as well as water and food bowls.
A typical day
🐶 I’ll start each day based on your dog’s individual needs, whether that means a potty break, a morning walk, or breakfast first. Once we're back home, I’ll check in on their mood to see if they're up for more playtime or just looking for some cozy cuddles. 🐱 Each day starts by following your cat’s routine, whether that means breakfast first, a litter check, or some quiet morning company. I’ll take time to read their mood and body language to see if they’re in the mood for interactive play, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing nearby with some gentle affection. Throughout the day, I balance playtime, comfort, and calm companionship to make sure your cat feels safe, happy, and at ease in their own space.
