Maria was great and so communicative, sending pictures and updates of my pup. It was my first time boarding my dog and she made the process feel easy - would definitely trust her with my pup again!

Maria really loves and understands dogs. It was such a treat to know my dog was so well cared for and to be given such thoughtful insights into his interactions with other dogs. Thanks, Maria!

1st time using Rover. Maria made it very easy and answered all my questions very quickly prior to dropping off my 2 dogs. During their stay she consistantly sent pictures and updates on how they were doing. They whole process of dropping off and picking up was easly and stress free. I would definately book again with Maria and recommend her.

Schedule

I’ve been boarding dogs since 2014, and I truly love getting to know each dog as an individual. I give them space to be themselves, let them explore at their own pace, and never impose on their comfort. I understand dog behavior and have basic training experience, which helps me read their signals and support them in a way that feels natural and safe. I have numerous repeat guests. Most families tell me their dog knows when they are on the way here for their play-ca-tion. Dogs will howl, wiggle, and rush towards the door upon arrival because they are smart and can remember they had a good time. Some dogs don't want to leave. Please don't feel bad about that. They still love you. It is a good sign that they had a great time here.

Safety, trust & environment

Our six-foot privacy fenced back yard provides plenty of space for dogs to run, play, sniff around or bask in the sun, if that is what they enjoy. Some dogs just go potty and quickly come back inside. That's ok, too.

A typical day

I want dogs to be themselves. If they enjoy watching Dog Tv, it will be on. Some just sleep all day - that's ok! They can sniff around the yard, frolic around the house, gaze out the window or play with one of the other pups (if present). The main goal is for all dogs to feel welcome, loved, safe, and nurtured.

Maria can host up to 3 pets per night
Up to three dogs from different households may be present at the same time, so it’s important that all dogs are comfortable around others. They don’t need to play together — parallel play is perfectly fine — but dogs with any known aggression toward dogs or people are not a good fit for this environment. This is especially true for dogs who have been expelled from doggy daycare, boarding facilities, or dog parks. Because this is my home, I’m also unable to host dogs who are destructive due to anxiety, display resource guarding, damage furniture, or dig excessively in the yard. My goal is to maintain a calm, safe, and predictable space where every dog can relax and feel secure. All dogs must be up‑to‑date on vaccinations. Health records can be emailed in advance or brought at drop‑off. I’m comfortable administering medication, but for my own safety, I can only do so if the dog is cooperative.
