Dogs who are friendly and comfortable with other dogs are welcome for both short- and long-term stays at Woofhousin’. The ideal guests are independent pups who are used to their family being away during the typical workday. That said, all dogs are welcome—I’ve had the joy of hosting over 1,000 dogs, and I can sincerely say they have a great time here! While I do work a day job on weekdays, I make up for it with plenty of playtime, interaction, snuggles, exercise, and whatever else makes each dog feel loved and cherished. Most dogs are used to being home during the day, and Woofhousin’ offers a cozy, caring environment that helps them feel at ease. On weekends, I’m home around the clock and the fun never stops!

Safety, trust & environment

A Home Away from Home At Woofhousin’, comfort and freedom go paw-in-paw. Our spacious, six-foot privacy-fenced backyard gives dogs plenty of room to run, play, and explore safely. Inside, dogs are welcome to roam freely throughout the home—whether they love stretching out on the furniture or curling up on the guest room bed, I want them to feel like this is their second home. If you prefer your dog to be crated during their stay, that’s totally fine! You’re welcome to bring your own crate or use one of mine. Bringing your dog’s favorite bed, blanket, or comfort item is always encouraged—it helps them settle in and feel more at ease.

Information Maria R. would like to know about your pet

At Woofhousin’, your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities! Because dogs from different households may be present during your pup’s stay, it's essential that all dogs get along well with others. I personally meet every dog before agreeing to board them. However, some behaviors—such as resource guarding, aggression, or destructiveness—can occasionally be unknown to even the most attentive pet parent. If needed, I may use gates or crates to ensure the safety of all dogs, humans, and my home. Health & Vaccinations: All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations. Health records can be emailed in advance or brought during drop-off. Belly Wraps for In-Home Boarding: Because dogs can be unpredictable and I board in my home, all dogs wear a belly wrap during their stay. Most pups don’t mind them, and I’m happy to show you how they’re used during our meet-and-greet. Belly wraps help prevent marking, excitable urination, or accidents from causing damage. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times: Weekdays: Scheduled in 10-minute increments between 6:30–7:30 AM or 6:00–9:30 PM Weekends: Slightly more flexible... If you need a different time, just let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate!

A typical day

Play, Enrichment, and Tail Wags I know how important both mental and physical stimulation are for a happy, healthy pup. That’s why I offer a variety of fun activities during your dog’s stay—whether it's a game of fetch, tug-o'-war, snuggle time, or just letting them frolic freely in the yard. Social dogs can enjoy playtime with other canine guests, while more independent pups can choose their own adventure. There are plenty of toys available to keep things exciting and enriching throughout the day.

Maria was great with Tootsie. She sent several pictures, videos and updates during Tootsie's stay with her. I would definitely recommend Maria and book her again.

Archie was very comfortable with Maria during our meet up so I knew I had made the right choice in booking her for sitting services. Archie was happy and healthy, and very excited during pickup. After getting rid of his first day jitters, he was right at home. I know Archie really appreciated Maria’s large fenced in backyard and being in company of other dogs she was sitting for the week. Would definitely recommend Maria for future services!
