Pet care experience

Your Dog’s New Best Friend

What sets me apart is my heart, patience, and experience. I don’t just walk dogs—I build trust with them. I’ve cared for all kinds of pups, from high-energy breeds to shy rescues, playful puppies to slow-moving seniors. I know how to read their body language, honor their pace, and make each walk or visit feel safe and fun. I’ve helped train puppies with basic commands, potty breaks, and leash manners, and I’m gentle and attentive with older dogs who need a little extra care and time. Whether your dog needs a calm walk or an energy-burning adventure, I adapt to their needs and personality. Above all, I treat every dog like family—because that’s how I’d want someone to treat mine

Safety, trust & environment

Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or mine, I treat them like family—with patience, love, and presence. I pay close attention to their routines, energy levels, and comfort zones. I always ask about their preferences, quirks, and needs so I can make them feel safe and relaxed. In your home, I keep things familiar—feeding schedules, walk times, play routines, and any training cues you use. I keep the space tidy, respectful, and peaceful while giving your pet consistency and care. If they’re staying with me, I create a calm, cozy environment where they’re never overwhelmed. I keep communication open with photo and video updates so you feel connected and reassured while you’re away. Every animal has their own language—I listen, I adapt, and I love them just the way they are.

Maria was an exceptional dog sitter, over the Fourth of July weekend. Unfortunately, my dog was more sick than I thought, and her stay became more involved. She handled the situation very well while staying in communication with me and I can’t thank her enough for taking care of Kodak like he was her own. Thank you so much, Maria. I’ll never forget it!

Great experience. Maria was responsive and provided consistent updates. Gary was exhausted and tired for the remainder of the day.

Dog Walking • Jan 07, 2026

First time using Rover and Maria made the whole process so easy. Very communicative on updates and it was so nice getting photos of my dog, too. I even had a tiny mix-up with my old/new address on here (started an account years ago, but never used it) and she was understanding about it. Hoping to be a repeat client. Thanks so much, Maria!

Maria was absolutely amazing! She stayed at our apartment and took care of two dogs. She kept us updated and sent lots of pictures. She left the apartment cleaner then when she got there!

Before caring for a pet, it’s important for me to know a few key things to make sure I give them the best experience possible: • Any medical conditions or allergies • Feeding schedule and dietary restrictions • Their temperament around new people, kids, or other animals • Favorite toys, routines, or comfort items • Any fears or triggers (like loud noises or being left alone) • Commands they know or are working on • If they’re crate-trained or free-roaming The more I know, the more I can make them feel safe, happy, and right at home!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
