Safety, trust & environment

I take safety and trust extremely seriously. As a former educator, I have all my clearances, and I treat your furry family members as if they were my own. I have also fostered over 20 dogs in the last 15 years, so I'm comfortable with a variety of sizes and life stages.

Information Maria O. would like to know about your pet

If your dog has any specific things they love — or do not like — please let me know. I love learning each pup’s quirks, favorite things, and if there are any specific special needs they have, I always appreciate a head’s up so I can make my visit and/or walk as comfortable as possible.

A typical day

I love taking my clients on walks and providing drop-in services! I enjoy getting to build a rapport with my clients (2 legged and 4!), and absolutely adore when the pups get to know me. I enjoy following their schedule and doing the things they enjoy (ex: playing with a certain toy or puzzle with them), but also love bringing new fun toys with me. For dogs that prefer to just have snuggle time, that is also always an option. I’ve fostered a variety of breeds and personalities, so I’m very flexible.

Pet care experience

Hello! Over the past 15 years, I've had the pleasure of working with two local rescues, fostering over 20 dogs of all shapes and sizes. Additionally, I've been a dog mom to 5 incredible souls: Freckles (English cocker spaniel), Lily (golden retriever), Bartlett (collie mix), Lenny (American cocker spaniel/pekenese mix), and now Sunny (a 2-year-old golden retriever mix). As each of the first four lived long, happy lives, I'm well-versed in all stages of our furry friends' lives (and comfortable with administering medication, if necessary). When I was teaching, I frequently worked summers at the Pets Hotel and Canine Country Club. Now that my schedule is more flexible year-round, I am happy to provide pet care that matches the level of care I give my own dog. I am very active by nature, so I love taking walks and will share updates and pictures along the way. Thank you for entrusting your furry family member to me; It is an honor, and I cannot wait to meet you and them.

I’ve watched Maria care for animals for many years, and I can honestly say they have always been treated as members of the family. She is kind, patient, dependable, and has a natural ability to make pets feel safe and loved. Over the years, she has owned and cared for several dogs, opened her home to foster animals, and currently provides wonderful care to both her own dog and a foster dog. She never cuts corners and always puts their well-being first, whether that means extra walks, playtime, or simply giving them comfort and affection. I would trust her without hesitation to care for any pet, and I know anyone who chooses Maria will have complete peace of mind knowing their furry family member is in loving, capable hands.

I’ve known Maria for years, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s incredibly kind, responsible, and has a genuine love for animals. Between owning dogs and fostering many others over the years, including currently caring for both her own dog and a foster, she has the experience and patience to handle pets with care and confidence. Maria treats every animal like family and is someone I’d trust without hesitation to provide safe, loving, and reliable care. Any pet owner would be lucky to have her looking after their furry family member.
