I am off work for the summer. I am home A LOT. My dogs run the house and are in and out constantly, rarely crated except when I run errands. During the school year, I am away for longer stretches. I can watch dogs on weekends, but weekdays would be harder. Weekdays would be harder, but they wouldn't be impossible. Let's talk! :)

I have a large fenced yard and deck. I have a carpeted and laminate-floor house. The whole place is open for furball adventures. I would watch your pet in my home. I would dote on them the same as I do my own. My parents' shorky occasionally comes to play, and she is also a love. So your dog could potentially have a chance to play and rest with a wee dog, a medium dog, and a large dog. Normally, however, it's just the two dogs who live here with me and my husband. I have always struggled to find good options for boarding my dogs, and I love them to distraction, so I'd like to offer this service to people and alleviate some worry so they can focus on their various human tasks and know their pets are safe.

I would like to know if there are things they DON'T like. I don't want a dog to be unhappy. I would like to know if they have had all their shots and have proof of that history in the form of paperwork from your vet. My dogs have had all their shots, so I would want to be sure that yours did too. I'd like to know if your dog has any special needs that I can attend to during their time with me. I'd like to know a number of good ways to reach you with questions or pictures from the stay.
A typical day
We hang out together. That could mean playing with toys or tame watersports or snuggles or couch time or sunbathing or running through bubbles or wrestling or investigating the woods or trying to catch squirrels that taunt us from the trees. I pay attention to dogs' moods and the needs of the mini-pack. I've personally owned labradors, schnauzers, cocker spaniels, and mixed-breed dogs, so I understand that not all dogs have the same likes and abilities. That said, they ALL want to feel safe and loved. A great day is a balance of play and rest, engagement and comfort, something new and something familiar. Dogs need to pace themselves just like people.

Pet care experience
I have always had dogs in my life. I adore dogs, sweet to naughty. I love to cuddle, play toys, play catch, sing songs, give treats, blow bubbles, teach tricks, and afternoon nap. I have a fenced backyard that is both wooded and open, a big deck with a baby pool for water play, and about a zillion toys refreshed often due to Bark Box deliveries. I have two dogs of my own who love to play. One is a sedate and elderly dog of many breeds. The other is a juvenile border-doodle who adores making new friends and keeping them all. I also have a guinea pig named Danny who lives in a habitat in a spare room in my house where he is safe from eager beagles. :) My home is a happy, smoke-free, not-fancy home where dogs can access everything and will never be yelled at for getting on the furniture or nesting in blankets. :)

Maria was wonderful with our dog! She was flexible with some changes in our schedule. She was very quick to communicate and made us feel at ease leaving our dog.
Maria has always been an animal lover! She brought her son to play the guitar to animals at the shelter. She has two dogs and a guinea pig and they are well cared for. When she comes to my house, she is on the floor, playing with the dogs and having the best time. I would trust her with my pets, anytime She is perfect for this job!
Every pet deserves to be loved and cared for by Maria! She positively oozes adoration for all animals, inspiring every pet I've ever seen her with absolutely burst with affection for her. Each of my three dogs and four cats I've had during my 22-year friendship with Maria has considered her one of their very favorite humans in the world.
