My family owned a veterinary practice and pet hotel growing up, so I've been surrounded by animals my entire life. I've personally owned multiple dogs - goldens, pugs, shichons, and now an Frenchie! - and lived with my roommates' cats, who I loved like my own. I often babysit friends' pets in the city and am happy to open my home to yours! I own a 9 month old, fully-vaccinated 17 lb French bulldog named Fonzie who is exceptionally chill for his breed and head of the Welcoming Committee for pets staying with me. He adores other dogs and cats, but is also very good about respecting their space and entertaining himself alone. With that being said, I can only host pets who are comfortable spending extended periods of time with another dog. There's a high likelihood your pet will be the star of my Instagram story, so expect lots of "content" coming from our time together :)

Maria was great! She quickly responded and accepted my request and provided updates and video of Scooby during his stay!
Maria watched Leo when we both had to go into the office, and was great about sending us updates throughout the day. He also loved having Fonzie as a playmate, and he was very generous to share his toys with Leo. We will definitely plan to use Maria again in the future for daycare!
Penny Lane had an excellent first visit with Maria and Fonzie. Maria was very in tune with getting off to a good start and slowly introducing her to the environment and to her new friend. Looking forward to our next stay with Maria.

I currently work part-time from home, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets and go on walks around the city.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a generously-sized apartment with lots of room for your pets to walk around, and don't mind if they want to hang out on the couch with me. I also have a small enclosed outdoor space if your pet is more comfortable or if it's safer for them to spend time outside that way. When I'm at your house I'm super mindful of your space and respect the rules of the roost, just let me know what you're comfortable with! Please note that my home is not a good fit if your dog is not friendly with small dogs, has trust issues with men, has difficulty with stairs, or barks excessively.

A typical day
I live very close to the east river walking path and also to Madison Square Park, where there's a beautiful new dog park if your pet is permitted to run around with the other dogs. We always do a little photoshoot to send to you so you can be a part of our time together!
