Pet care experience

Insured, experienced pet sitter

Caring for animals has become one of my greatest passions and joys in life. I am a huge animal lover and it is my pleasure to not only spend time with your pets, but put your mind at ease that your furry family members are cared for and in good hands while you are not with them. For me, taking care of animals is an absolute pleasure, but I also take it very seriously. I want pet owners to know their pets will be my number 1 priority— and will receive my undivided attention while they are in my care. Insured by Pet Care Insurance (Veracity Insurance Solutions) NOTE: I no longer accept requests to leash-walk an untrained, reactive dog over 30lbs that has the capability to pull me to the ground. If your dog is reactive and pulls on leash, and is over 30 pounds, I will only be able to supervise them in a fenced-in yard as opposed to talking them on a leash-walk. More about me: I always loved animals and took care of family pets since I was a child. My first job throughout high school and college was working as a pet sitter, dog walker, and nanny. For years, I did in-home, overnight pet-sitting and dog walking for dogs of all sizes, as well as care for cats, birds, fish, rabbits, and other small creatures! One year during high school, I spent the summer at a camp learning how to train service dogs— an unforgettable educational experience that taught me lifelong lessons about animals. My career took the direction of education and languages, as I went on to receive a bachelors and then a masters degree here in Georgia. I even taught at Georgia State University for a time. Right after I moved to Georgia for graduate school, I rescued my beautiful pup Luci through the incredible organization called Releash Atlanta. Luci is truly my best friend, my baby, my companion, and I know when I go out of town or need help taking care of her, there’s nothing I value more than making sure she is in good, caring hands of someone I know will keep her safe and treat her well.

Safety, trust & environment

I mainly offer the services of dog walking and drop-in visits (30-60 minutes each) to care for your pet at your home. I follow all instructions given by the client to ensure all needs of pet and owner are met. I am attentive to your pet’s needs based on your home, and value the safety of your home and pet as my top priority while they are in my care. I also offer boarding in my home for small dogs (15 pounds or smaller) and I only accept one client (up to 2 dogs) at a time. I live in a 3-bedroom home with my husband and 8-pound maltipoo, and we are able to provide adequate space, exercise, care, and attention to the furry friends we welcome into our home! We have a fenced in yard and love to take multiple daily walks around our beautiful neighborhood. When your dog boards with us, they are welcome to use our guest bedroom as their own bedroom to keep their belongings, crate (if they use one) and to have their own space if they desire. They are also welcome to sleep in the bed with us at night if they are a snuggler who prefers to be close with humans!

Pets

A typical day

As an active person, I love walking at one the the beautiful parks in Canton or Woodstock, or going for a hike. I love taking my dog to Heritage Park, Olde Rope Mill, Red Top Mountain State Park, and also just around our neighborhood! I enjoy playing, running, snuggling, and doing all indoor and outdoor activities that dogs and pets love. When I drop-in on your dogs, I am happy to walk or run with your dog in your neighborhood or local park, or to stay in your own backyard to chase around balls! If you choose to board your small fur baby with me, I am able to provide at least 2-3 daily walks of at least 30-60 minutes each, in addition to plenty of time accompanied outside in my fenced-in backyard.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, preferences, or any behavioral or health issues. It is important for me to have an understanding of your dog’s reactivity level, especially when it comes meeting new people, or encountering other dogs and people while walking. I’m glad to be patient with dogs that can have a harder time being friendly or calm. It is my pleasure to accommodate to what you and your dog need to be happy!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
