I graduated from my Master’s program this past spring and have recently gone back to working part-time retail at Barnes & Noble. I currently have a puppy of my own who certainly keeps me on my toes, as well as a few dogs I walk/care for regularly during the week. While my schedule is not always consistent due to the nature of retail work, I pride myself on being organized and able to manage time effectively and would love to include your pets! If I am caring for your pets, I assure you they will be my top priority and I will make sure to care for them just as you would.

Whenever I house sit or stop by to take care of your fur baby, my attention will be completely on their safety and happiness. If you have a fenced in backyard and prefer to have your pet off leash outdoors, I am more than happy to do so! If your backyard is not fenced in, I will keep your fur baby on a leash for their own safety. If they have preferred treats, I would love to give them some when appropriate to help keep your pets happy when they’re missing you!

Please let me know in advance how your dog behaves with other dogs and if they are generally friendly towards them. This will be super important when we go on walks or if you would like me to take them out to a park! Additionally, anything else you can tell me about your fur baby in advance will be helpful so I will know how best to care for them and prioritize their safety and happiness.

I love helping to exercise and entertain your pets! I am big on playing games like fetch with your dogs or using a laser toy or toy mice with your cats. I have spent hours playing with my dogs and my friend’s dogs and making sure they are happy and cared for. I know how important it is for your fur babies to get plenty of exercise and I’m all game!

Hello! My name is Maria and I’m so excited you and your furry friend(s) have found my page! I’ve cared for pets since I was a child, beginning with my own (both cats and dogs), and caring for pets of other family and friends as I got older. I would help with taking dogs on walks and making sure they were fed and loved as well as feeding them, getting them water, and changing the cat’s litter. I helped train my Rottweiler when we got her, I’m helping when I can to train my roommate’s Golden Retriever puppy, a recently got a German Shepherd puppy of my own I’ve been working to train. Having a Rottweiler when I was younger, as well as two German Shepherds now has allowed me to be very comfortable with large dogs, especially those who unfortunately have some negative stigmas. I’ve spent the night at friend’s houses to care for their animals (both cats and dogs) and am dedicated to putting your pet’s needs and happiness first.

Maria is amazing! We have been repeat clients because she always takes great care of our dogs, and they absolutely love her! She provides us with at least a couple check-ins daily and plenty of photos to show how happy and well taken care of they are while we are out of town ☺️
