Treating every pet like family
I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life, especially dogs, so pet sitting feels like a very natural extension of who I am. I have four dogs back in Peru, and since moving to Antwerp last year to pursue my Master’s degree, I’ve deeply missed being around them. Caring for other people’s pets has become a way for me to stay connected to something I genuinely love and understand. In Peru, I gained hands-on experience through pet sitting for friends, family, and private clients, as well as caring for both dogs and cats in different environments. I have experience with short and long stays, including a dog who lived in my home for a month while his owner was travelling. I am calm, responsible, and very attentive to each animal’s emotional and physical needs. I focus on creating a safe, stable, and loving environment where pets can feel at ease and understood. I have experience with all life stages, from senior dogs to energetic puppies, and I am comfortable administering oral medication when needed. I provide structured walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship, always respecting each pet’s routine and personality. I also send regular updates and photos so owners feel fully reassured while they are away. For me, every pet is treated as family, with patience, consistency, and genuine care. I prefer vaccinated pets to ensure a safe environment for all.

I highly recommend Maria Gracia as a loving pet caregiver. She took great care of my dog Milo (beagle) for walks, outings, and longer stays. She always made sure he was fed on time, got his regular walks, and lots of love. She also sent regular photos and videos, which I really appreciated. I provide a safe and comfortable environment for all pets in my care. I live in a cozy apartment with a small terrace, perfect for fresh air and short outdoor breaks. At home, I ensure clean spaces, secure routines, and close supervision. I respect each pet’s needs, monitor their wellbeing, and follow any special instructions from their owners. Communication is key: I provide updates, photos, and remain available for questions so owners can feel confident their pets are loved, safe, and happy.

I believe it’s very important to understand each pet’s personality and what they enjoy most, because every pet is unique. Some more active pets love playing with a ball, going on walks, exploring and smelling everything outside. Senior or calmer pets may prefer a slower pace, gentle play, or simply relaxing and enjoying quiet company. I also love using interactive toys and enrichment games to keep them mentally stimulated and happy. I always try to adapt activities to each pet so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for.
