Information I need to know before walking a dog: If the dog is friendly with other dogs. If the dog is friendly with people and babies (so I know how close they can get). How the dog handles the heat or cold. How often the dog needs water breaks during the walk. If the dog tends to pick up or eat things from the ground. If the dog pulls strongly on the leash or has any leash reactivity. If there are any specific commands the dog knows (sit, stay, leave it, etc.). If the dog has any fears or triggers (bicycles, skateboards, loud noises, etc.). If the dog has any health conditions or special needs. If there are areas or routes to avoid.
A typical day
A typical day with my dog starts with our three daily walks. Once or twice a week, we visit a park where we can play fetch and she can socialize with other dogs. I love exploring new neighborhoods and walk with a dog friend.

In 2017, I adopted my first dog, a sweet Schnauzer mix. I personally trained him to do his business outside and loved watching him grow into a happy, well-behaved pup. Later, when I moved in with my boyfriend, we adopted Feli — a Border Collie–Labrador mix full of energy and love. We’ve trained her to follow commands, know exactly where to do her business, and she absolutely adores us. Caring for dogs has always been a joyful and rewarding part of my life, and I treat every pup like family.
