I have recently moved back to Alabama from TN and am interested in establishing some regular clients. When I was in Nashville and worked from home I had a few regular drop in visit clients who I worked with regularly (3 dogs and 1 cat). I own my own business so my office hours are flexible.

I live in an apartment, so I prefer to pet-sit in a client's home. This generally allows the animal to feel more comfortable in his or her own surroundings. I can do much of my work remotely, so I can bring my laptop and be able to spend time with your pet and take frequent walks.

I have been around all types of dogs; I generally prefer those who love to play but I understand older and more solitary dogs need love too! I just like to know the general disposition of a pet so I don’t overwhelm him or her with excitement if he or she is used to quiet and solitude.

Most of the dogs I have spent time with really enjoy playing outside. If there is a place to run and fetch, that is a great way to have fun and burn energy. For dogs without a yard, typically doing a walk and then coming back to hang out with the pup in their home and praising and talking to them seems to be a good way to bond. I want the pets to enjoy me being there with them.

My first job was working at a veterinary clinic bathing, grooming, feeding, and caring for dogs and cats. My family had a farm, so I was around pigs, chickens, cows, and horses and I feel very comfortable around all animals. I have had dogs and cats throughout the years and loving on animals makes me happy. I currently dog sit for a friend of mine when she goes out of town and her dog seems to love me.
