Pet care experience

Safe & happy pets are my priority!

Hi! You can call me Elena. I have pet care experience through Rover with large and small dogs, puppies, kittens, fish, elderly and special needs dogs and cats, and more. I grew up helping care for everything from horses to hermit crabs! I have helped house train and socialize many puppies through my involvement with health-forward breeding programs. I have been the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family since I could drive at 16. With my husband, I currently have a lovely little dog, Penny, and a ball python, Juju. With your permission, I may invite my husband to visit during longer housesits.

She did great after not seeing the dogs for quite some time. Our dogs are 2 young golden retriever and get very excited and she handles them well, we got updates for every visit with pictures. She is always on time which made me feel more at ease when we were on vacation.

Elena is an excellent house sitter. She was very attentive to Fiona and kept us informed while we were gone. Would definitely use her again!

Elena cared for our two dogs, doing a 5-day home stay. Our focus was on their care and well-being, that they were at home in their own environment, and that we had good communication as we were a long ways from home. Elena took care of everything and upon our return, they were happy and relaxed and appeared to get the right amount of exercise and play. Our house was just as we had left it. We had multiple updates and photos throughout their day and she asked questions when there was a concern. Elena was very professional and spent adequate time with us during her meet and greet. I had her come walk the bigger dog twice before our trip which was a bonus in getting to know her habits. Her caring and thoughtfulness make her our first choice in picking another Rover sitter in the future. If you want someone who goes the extra mile, chose Elena as your sitter. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Fantastic! Elena updated me twice daily, alerted me to everything, and watered my plants to boot! Already planning my next trip so she can stay with my pair of pups

I absolutely will and would rehire/recommend! She did absolutely everything correct! From the very beginning by answering my request promptly, visiting with me and Willis promptly… Leaving my house exactly the way she found it, sending me pictures constantly and all in all I am happy I finally found someone I feel really good about😄

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I am in graduate school, and my availability is subject to change after Summer ends on August 24th and each semester. For this summer starting May 7th, I am fully available outside of a few brief travel periods!

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

Aside from common sense, my most vital resource in keeping your pet safe is any information you can provide, such as weaknesses in a backyard fence, a food allergy, reoccurring health issues, a tendency for your pet to eat inedible things, or to slip out the door, etc. This is why I require a meet-and-greet or video call before taking on a new client, to make certain I can provide a high standard of care for your pet. My top priorities are keeping pets safe and happy, owners fully updated on the status of their pet and home, and households neat, clean, and secure. I send two updates a day, morning and evening, always with a picture. I also may reach out with any questions or concerns that may arise. This ensures everything is just as you left it once you return!

Pets

A typical day

Each pet is different, and while some love walks and playtime, others enjoy pet TV, a puzzle, and a snooze. Please let me know what your pets prefer so I can make sure they stay comfortable and content during my visit.
