I've owned a small dogwalking/pet sitting business since 1999. I(Maria) am CPDT-KA certified in dog training as well. I've worked with all breeds of dogs, ages with many different dispositions. My husband & I moved from Brooklyn(where we had our biz since 2006) to New Paltz this summer. We are continuing to do personal & very limited boarding in our new home. I(Maria) am also offering private training sessions(in your home) . I specialize in puppy or newly adopted pups/dogs.

María is the most wonderful pet caregiver that I have ever encountered. Our dog loves her more than she loves us, and that’s the truth. Our dog receives enrichment, love, attention, and an awesome doggy slumber party when we are out of town.
Maria and Doug have been watching our very high maintenance Frenchie for almost 8 years! Our fur baby is our everything, and they treat her like their own. They've done everything for our girl - daily walks, boarding when we go on vaca, even emergency pop ins. And our dog Margaux LOVES them. When I tell her that she's going to see Maria and Doug today, she wiggles her whole body in the cutest way. Maria and Doug have also given us great tips and ideas (this is our first dog) - from stimulation games to treat tactics! They are true animal lovers with a ton of knowledge. Also, Maria takes the sweetest photos of the pups she watches - the shots she can get with a bunch of dogs on a stoop are seriously amazing and adorable. I truly can't say enough great things about Tails on the Town - they are just the best.
Doug and Maria have been talking care of Jackson for over eleven years now. Not just taking care, taking really good care. Doug and Maria are everything you want in someone who looks after a member of your family. They are the only people who have a set of keys to my house. This is Brooklyn, you don’t give your keys to just anyone. They are the only people who walk Jackson, the only people who share their house with Jackson when we go out of town, and the only people I call when I have an emergency and need help. We noticed when Jackson went out with Doug and Maria he had more joy, he wanted to play more and walk further. It was obvious they bring Jackson joy. Doug and Maria both walk and board dogs at their house. Like I said, really good care. We can’t express enough how thankful we are for them

Schedule
Doggie care is part of my daily routine. I have 2 dogs of my own, both less energy less days, but still enjoy getting their walks & sniffs in.

The very limited boarding means your dogs stay with our family, always supervised & leashed outside. We have many dogs beds but can bring your own.

I like to give several bathroom breaks theoughout the day. For my higher energy dogs, happy to go to the dog parks in area, walk the Rail Trail & my favorite, historic Hugenot street/bird sanctuary
