With over seven years of professional experience as a dog walker, pet sitter, and home boarding provider—and now as a certified dog trainer (CPCT, GCT)—I have cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including seniors, large breeds, puppies, and adolescents. I also have experience caring for horses, goats, chickens, and cats. My training approach is science-based, Fear Free, force-free, positive reinforcement, reward-based, and partnership-focused, emphasizing clear communication, trust, and emotional well-being. I am committed to meeting both the physical and emotional needs of every animal through structured exercise, enrichment, play, and individualized care. Please note that a $10 travel fee per service will be added for drop-in visits requiring more than 40 minutes of round-trip travel.

We were so grateful to find Maria, who cared for our dog while we were skiing! She took Sofi for long walks, sent pictures, and generally enabled us to enjoy our skiing while also traveling to Vermont with our dog. Much appreciated!
Maria came to our remote cabin 6 times during our winter holiday in snow and ice to take Momo out for a walk while we were out skiing. Very good communication, flexible on times, dependable and super nice with our dog who can be a bit aggressive on first time meet and greets. Would hire again!
Maria was wonderful. She kept me updated on how Willow was doing, and I could see she was having a blast! The day after I came home Maria dropped Willow off to me because she knew I had jetlag from my trip. How great is that! Highly recommend!
Maria was so good with my two little dogs when she boarded them for a week while we were away. They are not easy as they have anxiety but she made them feel comfortable, happy and confident and we feel super lucky to have found Maria.

Schedule
I currently work from home so I have the flexibility to devote full time care for the animals that I board and sit for. I do have to leave on occasion for short periods of time, so if your dog feels more comfortable and calm in their crate when you leave them alone , please provide it for their stay with me. If your dog has separation anxiety and can’t be left alone for any amount of time, please let me know ahead of time.

I offer boarding to one dog at a time if requested but I do host multiple dog friendly dogs. I have plenty of space in my home, comfortable places to rest and a large outdoor area to go on walks. Inside I offer enrichment activities such as scent games, interactive toys such as kongs, calming music, and lots of affection and a restful supportive environment. .
Pets
A typical day
I start off the day with breakfast then a long nature walk on which dogs are allowed and encouraged to smell as much as they like. Water us offered freely all day. When inside dogs can rest, play with toys, Kong’s, scent games and socializing. In the afternoon there is another walk, rest, dinner time then winding down to bedtime.
