I’ve spent over 30 years caring for cats and dogs, both here in the U.S. and abroad in the United Kingdom. From playful puppies to wise senior pets, I’ve worked with animals of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I I truly love every part of it. Over the years, I’ve done everything from daily walks and drop-ins to long-term house sits, medication assistance, and supporting anxious or shy pets who need a little extra patience. I’ve also worked alongside owners to maintain training, routines, and comfort levels, so your pet feels safe, understood, and right at home. I’m a big believer in clear communication, thoughtful care, and treating every animal like they’re my own. Whether your pet wants energetic playtime, peaceful snuggles, or just someone who respects their unique personality, I customize my care to fit them perfectly. Expect lots of updates, photos, and peace of mind while you’re away. I know how important it is to feel connected to your fur family. I follow all instructions closely, whether it’s leash rules, feeding guidelines, home access, or special routines, so you know your pet is safe and your home is respected. I maintain a clean, calm environment and pay close attention to anything that could pose a risk. From secure door handling to safe walk routes and careful monitoring during play, I treat your pet with the same level of care I’d want for my own. Clear communication and honesty are just as important to me, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing. Your trust means everything, and I work hard to ensure you feel completely comfortable while you’re away.

The adventures Bentley has with Maria. Today he got some swimming in - wearing his floatie of course. Maria is just the best!
Maria is really the best and took such good care of my little pup Cali ! She sent many updates and pictures throughout the time we were away and truly a pleasure to communicate with and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She went above and beyond while staying in our home, she even did our wash and took out the trash... I highly recommend her and Cali can’t wait to see her again soon! :)
We love Maria and appreciate her thoughtfulness. My picky dog wasn’t eating today and she worked with him to get some food in him and arrived with food and treat alternatives to try to motivate him. And he ate! Thank you Maria!

Schedule
I am retired and have a flexible schedule therefore will do my best to accommodate your pet care needs. As part of a family of experienced pet caregivers, I also have the added benefit of being able to recommend my daughter’s Rover profile if my availability doesn’t line up with your requested dates. My daughter has extensive experience in animal care, including working as a dog daycare manager and as a veterinary technician, in addition to her own experience as a Rover sitter. If I am unavailable, please feel free to enquire about her as she may be able to accommodate your dates. Between us, we are able to offer families more flexibility while providing the same reliable communication, compassionate care, and dedication to treating every pet like family.
