I am retired and have a flexible schedule therefore will do my best to accommodate your pet care needs. As part of a family of experienced pet caregivers, I also have the added benefit of being able to recommend my daughter’s Rover profile if my availability doesn’t line up with your requested dates. My daughter has extensive experience in animal care, including working as a dog daycare manager and as a veterinary technician, in addition to her own experience as a Rover sitter. If I am unavailable, please feel free to enquire about her as she may be able to accommodate your dates. Between us, we are able to offer families more flexibility while providing the same reliable communication, compassionate care, and dedication to treating every pet like family.

Because I’m retired and fully flexible, I’m able to maintain a calm, attentive environment where pets receive consistent care throughout the day. I’m prompt with communication and always happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away. I follow your pet’s normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walk times, and any special instructions. I’m comfortable caring for seniors, shy pets, and those who need a little extra patience, just let me know any medical or behavioral details in advance so I can give them the best possible experience
A typical day
My days are calm and pet-focused. I start the morning with fresh air and a nice walk or potty break for dogs, followed by breakfast and a little playtime or cuddles. Since I’m home throughout the day, your pet is never rushed or left waiting. I offer plenty of breaks, enrichment, affection, and relaxation, whatever fits their routine best. Afternoons are usually a mix of play, outdoor time, and naps, and I’m always attentive to your pet’s comfort and needs. Evenings wind down with another walk and lots of love before their bedtime routine.

Over the years, I’ve done everything from daily walks and drop-ins to long-term house sits, medication assistance, and supporting anxious or shy pets who need a little extra patience. I’ve also worked alongside owners to maintain training, routines, and comfort levels, so your pet feels safe, understood, and right at home. I’m a big believer in clear communication, thoughtful care, and treating every animal like they’re my own. Whether your pet wants energetic playtime, peaceful snuggles, or just someone who respects their unique personality, I customize my care to fit them perfectly. Maria is really the best and took such good care of my little pup Cali ! She sent many updates and pictures throughout the time we were away and truly a pleasure to communicate with and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She went above and beyond while staying in our home, she even did our wash and took out the trash... I highly recommend her and Cali can’t wait to see her again soon! :)
