Between me & my partner the dog should never be left alone for too long if at all! I work the first half of the day and my partner always works from home with a very flexible work schedule! We usually have Friday-Sat off together where we go on walks so its perfect having a companion.

In our own house we are fine if they want to sleep on our couch as we have some blankets to cover it, they have full roam of the house. We also have a garden so we can let them out there for pees. When house sitting I leave the place how I find it, and follow house rules of course!

Information Mari-Ann C. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if the dog is prone to any episodes such as seizures or if it requires any special care or attention no matter how severe. Also how they are with other dogs, humans, kids, in the house.

A typical day

A typical day would be taking the dog on a few nice walks either to the nearby parks or hills, fields, along the river tweed. We then would chill at home & play when necessary :)

Experienced caring dog sitter :)

Pet care experience

Experienced dog-sitter who has been doing Rover since June 2022. I trained my own dog from a pup, taking him to regular training classes, and now that I live away at any opportunity I take on dog sitting as I miss the company and responsibility of a dog but just can’t manage to own one in my current lifestyle! We know live back in the borders so we have so much greenspace and parks perfect for dogs to run and socialise. Or a very relaxing on-leash walk if preferred. We travel up to Edinburgh still frequently so can pick-up/drop off whenever too☺️ I also really enjoy house sitting as I would rather the dog be in comfortable surroundings so I am very flexible if that’s what was needed! I live with my partner who has also been doing Rover for the past few years. So your pooch is in good hands with us! If possible for the dog we also like to go further afar with the car sometimes & take the dogs on a hike or a bit more space to roam. Just let us know what they’re used to! :)

Mari-Ann and her partner Aresky took excellent care of our dog and were so lovely and communicative! Our dog clearly felt comfortable right away even though he can be nervous, and seemed like he had a great time and was very spoiled with lots of walks, treats, and cuddles. Thank you both so much!!

They looked after Maisy for a week and it went well and she seemed to have enjoyed her time with Mari-Ann and her partner. Maisy even got to go on a camping trip with them!
