I have taken care of friend’s pets (cats and dogs) in exchange for housing on vacation, and have had quite a few rover jobs including dog walking and catsitting (drop offs and housesitting) I love to be around animals :) I am a trustworthy and communicative pet carer. You can count on me to be responsible when it comes to your animal and home. Dealbreakers for hosting dogs : 1) the dog needs to be able to go up and down stairs by itself. We have the entire building and therefore in order to get from one room to another going up/down is required and there are no barriers to prevent the dog from going off on its own. It needs to be independent otherwise it is a dangerous environment for them 2. Noise needs to be more or less under control. A few barks here and there is normal, but if it is excessive, I simply can’t have it due to living with people. 3. I do not take dogs for more than 2 nights. 4. Your dog needs to get along with all other humans, men women and children. Getting along with other dogs is preferred 5. Please don’t just drop your dog off with me. I’m amazed at the amount of people who will just drop their dog off and not even check out where I live. Give yourself the time to come up and have coffee, check out my appartment, and explain to me a few things I should know. Thanks for reading. Please also consider house sitting before boarding ! I understand one can be skeptical of letting a stranger into their home with out surveillance, but I’m open to a visit beforehand and pet surveillance cameras being on during the stay.

Margaux has been my go-to cat sitter for years! She’s cared for my British Shorthair, Xo, both as a kitten and now as an adult cat, and each time she’s done a fab job. Whether I’ve been away for a weekend or traveling for several weeks, I’ve always had total peace of mind knowing my fur baby was in such good hands. Margaux is reliable and thoughtful — she takes the time to make sure Xo feels loved, played with and calm. She always keeps me updated with photos and notes. :) It’s such a relief to have someone I trust completely. When I come home, Xo is happy and well cared for, plus my apartment is always in great shape. I cant recommend Margaux enough!

Schedule
I am a freelance artist at the moment, lots of the work I do is on the computer at home so I have quite a lot of time (with a bit of organization) to devote to your pet :) I have a super flexible schedule so I’m all yours!

I have two friends in particular (as you can see in my references) who I have stayed with or at their appartements on multiple occasions in Berlin where I am taking care of their cats in exchange for housing. Since things always go well, I have been invited back multiple times with no problem. I have also done so with rover. I can clean up after myself with no trace and don’t mind sleeping on a couch in case you need a house sitter. Unfortunately I can not board an animal in my own house due to roommates who are not ok with it.
A typical day
I like to play with animals, cat or dog … we can take a walk, and I love to give lots of affection and cuddles :)
