Reliable Care, Love & Happy Walks

I grew up having dogs and I have always loved all animals. I run a travel business that takes me away a few times a year, so I can’t have my own pet — but I’d love to care for yours. I work from home most days, so I’m around and flexible. Long hours on the computer can get lonely, and having a dog to care for makes a huge difference for me. I’ll make sure it makes a difference for your pet too. *What I Offer Your Pet* - *Active companionship*: I love walks and runs, and I’d enjoy the company on daily outings. - *Calm, safe environment*: My home is clean, quiet, and peaceful. Dogs settle in quickly here. - *Pet-ready space*: Fenced yard that dogs love, crates if needed, a doggie bench by the window, plus balls and toys for play. - *Gentle care*: I have a quiet, calm personality. Pets seem to love my Spanish accent and soft tone of voice. I’m intuitive and sensitive to what animals need. - *Full attention*: Since I’m home during the day, your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches. *Rates & Availability* I offer special discounted rates for long-term stays and repeat clients — just ask. I’m looking forward to giving your dog or cat the same care and attention I’d give my own. If you think we’d be a good fit, send me a message and we can set up a meet and greet.

Margarita took great care of our dog for two weeks. She kept us updated with photos and made sure he was happy and comfortable the whole time. We came home to a happy, well cared for dog.

Margarita and her husband were simply incredible with my Cassie. Cassie has anxiety and the updates and all the activity and love they gave Cassie was simply amazing! I feel so fortunate to have found them to help out with some care for Cassie and hope they will accept her back into her home when I need some help.

Our girls Rosie and Maeve were so happy and calm after their first stay with Margarita. We very much appreciated her communication and patience with our dog Rosie who is anxious. Thank you so much.

True to his character as a rebel, our little Maveric gave Margarita a bit of a hard time at the start. His run for freedom and alpha didn't go so well and he had to be separated from the pack until he figured things out. But by day three he warmed up to the situation and the pack thanks to Margarita. Thanks so much Margarita for keeping our boy safe and being patient with his 'rebel' side.

Margarita was phenomenal with a long 48 day stay for my dog, Quincy. Quincy had a wonderful time being walked a few times each day, hiking, playing with any other dogs that we’re visiting, receiving lots of snuggles, and relaxing and playing in the grassy and fenced backyard. Margarita created such a calm and loving environment that I think Quincy is more relaxed and happy than when she’s at home! :)

Schedule

Pet care fits right into my day since I work from home running my travel business. My schedule is flexible, so I can structure my work around your pet’s routine. *A typical day looks like:* - *Morning*: First walk and feeding right after I start my day. If your dog likes runs, mornings work great for that too. - *Midday*: Break for a walk, playtime in the yard, or cuddle time while I take a break from work. - *Afternoon/Evening*: Another walk, play with toys/balls, and sticking to your feeding and bedtime routine. Since I’m home most of the day, your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches. I’m available for extra potty breaks, longer walks, and quick check-ins between tasks. I travel for work a few times a year, but when I’m home I’m fully available. For boarding or drop-ins, I plan my work calls around walks and playtime so your pet gets consistent attention. If I have a busy day coming up, I’ll let you know ahead of time and adjust the schedule to make sure nothing gets missed. Basically: work happens around the dog, not the other way around.

Safety, trust & environment

*Safety, Trust & Environment* *In my home:* Safety comes first. My home is clean, quiet, and fully set up for pets with a fenced yard, so dogs can play and burn energy safely off-leash. I keep hazardous items secured, use crates when needed for naps or decompression, and always supervise playtime. I have a doggie bench by the window and plenty of toys for enrichment, so pets feel comfortable and stimulated. I work from home most days, so pets aren’t left alone for long stretches. I stick to your pet’s routine for feeding, walks, and rest to keep them settled. I’m calm and intuitive, and I pay close attention to body language so I can adjust if a pet seems stressed or needs space. *In your home:* I follow your instructions exactly — feeding times, walk routes, medication if needed, and house rules. I treat your space with respect and keep it clean and secure, locking doors and not letting pets outside unsupervised unless you approve. You’ll get updates with photos so you can see they’re happy and safe. *Trust & Communication:* I know you’re trusting me with family, so I keep communication open. I’ll message you with updates, photos, and let you know right away if anything unusual comes up. I’m reliable, flexible, and I care for each pet like I would my own. Bottom line: calm environment, clear routine, constant supervision, and lots of love.

A typical day

There are beautiful walking trails around my home and the pond nearby, I may run sometimes and enjoy having the dogs play with their balls or toys.
