Hi! My name is Margarida and I’ve had many years of experience caring for both dogs and cats through fostering, rescue, and personal ownership. My household includes my husband, our two daughters (ages 13 and 2), our German Shepherd, and two cats. Because I have children and pets of my own, it’s important that every booking is a good fit for everyone involved. I provide personalized in-home care with a strong focus on safety, structure, and your pet’s comfort. Unlike high-volume boarding environments, I intentionally keep my bookings very limited (1 pet at a time, or 2 from the same household) so each pet receives proper supervision, individual attention, and a low-stress home environment. I understand canine body language and adapt to each dog’s personality, comfort level, and routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while away from home. My home is best suited for pets who are house trained, reasonably comfortable in new environments, and able to settle well within a home setting. Dogs with severe separation anxiety, ongoing destructive behaviours, or excessive distress when left alone may not be the best fit unless crate trained and discussed beforehand.
