Hi! My name is Margarida and I’ve had many years of experience caring for both dogs and cats through fostering, rescue, and personal ownership. My household includes my husband, our two daughters (ages 13 and 2), our German Shepherd, and two cats. Because I have children and pets of my own, it’s important that every booking is a good fit for everyone involved. I provide personalized in-home care with a strong focus on safety, structure, and your pet’s comfort. Unlike high-volume boarding environments, I intentionally keep my bookings very limited (1 pet at a time, or 2 from the same household) so each pet receives proper supervision, individual attention, and a low-stress home environment. I understand canine body language and adapt to each dog’s personality, comfort level, and routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while away from home. My home is best suited for pets who are house trained, reasonably comfortable in new environments, and able to settle well within a home setting. Dogs with severe separation anxiety, ongoing destructive behaviours, or excessive distress when left alone may not be the best fit unless crate trained and discussed beforehand. I love sending updates and photos throughout your pet’s stay so you can feel reassured while away 🤍 Please note: • Pricing is firm and reflects the level of care and supervision provided. • Clear communication is greatly appreciated. • Drop-off and pick-up times should remain as accurate as possible. • Significant timing changes or extended care outside the original booking window may require a Rover booking adjustment.

I have no words that can describe how happy l am with the care and love Margarida and her family gave our little guy. I never once worried about him because we received daily pictures and stories of how well he was adapting to his new surroundings. I would recommend Margarida 100%. In fact, she may be the only person l will trust with our little guy for all future need for care.
As always we love leaving our girl with Margarida. She and her family are so sweet and always take such great care of our cat and send lots of pictures throughout the trip.
Margarida and her family were amazing. She took great care of my cat and constantly updated me on how she was doing. I felt so comfortable leaving her there and will definitely rebook with Margarida for my next trip.
Margarida was absolutely amazing!!!! This was my first time leaving my cat with anyone besides my family. She watched him for 3 nights and was great at updating me daily. She is super sweet and welcoming :) would definitely recommend her to anyone looking!
Margarida was an amazing sitter. She kept us up to date all day, and sent along photos. Our dog couldn't have been happier. We'd book again with her in a heartbeat!
Margarida did an amazing job taking care of our kitten while we were away. She went above and beyond and was sending us regular updates on how the kitty is doing. Our cat did not take the separation very well, but Margarida provided her with some extra love and care to help her relax - we really appreciated that! Don’t hesitate to leave your pet with Margarida, she will care of it as if it was her own! Highly recommended!

I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to minimize stress. I always prioritize clear communication with owners, sending updates and photos so they feel reassured while they’re away.

A typical day
Depending on your pet’s needs, we’ll go for walks, enjoy playtime, or simply relax together. My backyard is spacious and fully fenced, providing plenty of safe outdoor time. Of course, there’s always lots of attention, belly rubs, and cuddles to make them feel right at home!
