I’m Margarida 😊 I have been a pet caretaker for 10+ years. I’ve done foster services, worked as a veterinary assistant, and have been a pet sitter now for 3 years. My Experience 🐾 I’ve fostered hundreds of cats from all areas of life and socialization stages. From newborns to elderly cats, pregnant mothers/in labor, cats with disabilities and feral rescues in need of socialization. I can proudly say every cat I've fostered has always gone to a forever home and it warms my heart to see rescued animals become friendly and sociable with humans. I worked as a vet assistant during my time in college for Community Mobile Vet in Santa Cruz. My job consisted of handling cats and dogs of various sizes, as well as birds and other animals, which included administering medication and claw clipping. Having been a vet assistant and fostering hundreds of cats, I have to be prepared for the unexpected and take precautions with every animal I meet. It's extremely important to be aware of any triggers or risks in an environment so I can be accommodating to the pet I am caring for. I like to provide a very friendly and attentive environment where I can gauge their needs at any given moment. This includes being accommodating to a pet’s social/behavioral needs and giving them the space to warm up to me.

Margarida was responsive, dependable, warm, friendly and very comfortable with our 9 year old German Shepherd. She asked intelligent questions related to the care of our dog and made sure that we were comfortable with the service. I highly recommend Margarida for pet sitting!

Zeitplan
I am flexible and available all days of the week! Weekends may differ, but please always check my calendar for availability! My family and I have been deeply invested in animal welfare and care since I was young. I no longer live with my family and I miss the joy of being around animals and taking care of my own pets and foster pets, I love to meet and care for other people’s pets!
