I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and have always had a special place in my heart for them. Back home in Portugal, I’ve cared for my Labradoodle since she was just five months old, giving me years of hands-on experience with the daily responsibilities and joy of having a dog. Now, as a Master’s student living in Stockholm, I regularly look after friends’ pets whenever they travel. This includes both dogs and cats, whether it’s stopping by for walks, feeding and playtime, or welcoming pets into my own home for overnight stays. I’ve also stayed in family members’ and friends’ homes for extended periods to care for their pets, ensuring they can enjoy their time away knowing their companions are safe, happy, and well looked after. I understand that every pet has its own personality, routine, and needs, and I always aim to provide patient, attentive, and loving care so they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away.

Margarida took really amazing care of my cat Mojje for two weeks. He was such a super happy boy while he was there and not at all stressed. She does a phenomenal job of following directions and is so easy to talk to and always available. I never felt stressed about Mojje being with her and I am happy he was super well taken care of while I was on Holiday. Can only recommend!

Schedule
Summer Availability During the summer, I’m primarily working on my Master’s thesis from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I can easily bring my laptop with me if needed, making it possible to adapt my day around your pet’s routine. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, hikes, and plenty of outdoor time, or your cat prefers a calm companion at home, I’m happy to provide the care that best suits their personality and needs. From September From September onwards, I’ll be studying full-time at Karolinska Institutet. My schedule is flexible, as I don’t have classes in person every day, and many are only during mornings or afternoons. Since I live close to campus, I’m available for morning and evening walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and house sitting, depending on your pet’s routine. From January From January, I’ll be focusing primarily on my Master’s thesis while working part-time with a company in central Stockholm. I’ll continue to have a flexible schedule, with some days working from home and others in the office, allowing me to adapt my routine to meet your pet’s needs whenever possible.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s wellbeing always comes first and I believe it’s important to be honest about the environment I can offer. I live in a small apartment, which is perfect for calm, sociable cats who are comfortable relaxing indoors. I’ve happily hosted cats in my home on several occasions and they have always settled in very well. However, I don’t think it’s fair to keep very energetic dogs or highly active cats in a smaller space, so I generally wouldn’t recommend boarding them in my home. They deserve an environment that matches their energy levels. I absolutely love animals of all personalities, including energetic puppies, playful kittens and high-energy pets. For those pets, I’m more than happy to care for them in your home where they can stay in their familiar surroundings while receiving plenty of attention, exercise and affection. I’m very attentive to routines and can confidently follow detailed care instructions, including feeding schedules, administering medication and any special requirements your pet may have. Having raised my own Labradoodle from puppyhood, I’m especially mindful about food safety, supervision and maintaining consistent routines. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’m also happy to help with small household tasks such as watering plants, bringing in the mail or keeping things tidy so you can travel with complete peace of mind. I’m also a great communicator, so you’ll never be left wondering how your pet is doing. I’ll keep you updated with regular messages, photos and videos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, safe and well cared for. Above all, I’m a responsible, organised and caring person who treats every animal with patience, kindness and respect. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else and I’ll always care for them as if they were my own.
