I have a fenced yard, two friendly dogs, and I have experience with older dogs also. In the summer, I put a little pool in my backyard for the dogs to play. I have lots of toys for them. My gate is always closed. However, I added another gate in front of the outside gate, so the dogs would not be able to get out of the yard. I have a large doggy door for all dogs to be free going in or out all day long! When I feel the dog won't get along with other dogs, I am able to teach them how to socialize by small increments of time with other dogs. My dogs must be always behaving. Thisnis the reason I don't leave them outside alone. I am always watching the dogs playing and recording the actions. I try to not mix larger dogs with small dogs, however, sometimes the little dogs want to play with big dogs! I am increasingly raising the safety in my backyard. I added a fenced area in my back yard for dogs who cannot socialize well, so all dogs can be outside safely! Recently, I added a large gazebo, so the pave would be cooler in the summer. Little by little, I am building a beautiful area for the dogs to play!

Around the wash close to my house. It is always dry and has grass all around making easy for the dogs to walk. I have a huge back yard. Close to 1500sf. They are free to go back and forth. I periodically walk the dogs; however, summer hours, I will take them for a walk later on the day when the ground is not so hot. They have the option to go to the small pool in the backyard. Now, I have grass in my back yard where the dogs can run without problems of their feet to get dirty or hot because of rocks! I just added recently, so still growing.
