I currently work full-time in Centretown Ottawa, both remote and in-office. I'm happy that I do have a flexible working schedule and can adapt my schedule around the needs of your dog, if needed. I understand that routines for dogs are essential and am happy to wake up at the crack of dawn if it means your dog feels safe and in their routine! I walk every day multiple times a day, so I would love a buddy! I've used gentle leaders, regular leashes, prong collars etc., so whatever you feel comfortable with me using to walk, I am open to it.

Whether I'm caring for your dog in your home or mine, I'll follow their normal schedule for walks, meals, playtime, medications, and rest while giving them plenty of attention and affection. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including senior dogs and those requiring medication. I'm also comfortable working with dog-reactive and people-reactive dogs, always prioritizing calm handling, awareness of their triggers, and safe, positive interactions. Having cared for dogs in both houses and apartments, I'm attentive to each home's unique needs and your pet's individual personality. My goal is to provide a safe, low-stress environment where your dog feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.

A typical day
I love taking dogs for long walks. I can throw sticks, frisbees, balls etc. I am also comfortable taking them for a swim, only if they are confirmed a strong swimmer from you and have a doggy life jacket I can use if needed.

She was amazing with Jasper! She accepted my booking very last minute, which I really appreciated, and took great care of him while I was away. There are very few people I trust to watch my boy Jack when I am away and Clare is without a doubt my first choice. She has a natural ability to connect with dogs, is experienced with dogs of all sizes and behavior levels and while she will absolutely spoil Jack when they are together she still makes sure he is respecting the rules and listening as required. While in her care the dog will be her main focus and whenever we get back Jack is happy to see us, but sometimes I think he would also like for us to stay away a little longer to have more time with her. Whenever we see her, Jack gets so excited and there is never any hesitation for him to go with her, which I think is the biggest testament to just how well she cares for him and there is no doubt this not something reserved just for Jack but applies to any dog, or animal that is in Clare's care be if for walkies or boarding stays.
