Pet care experience

Mature•Compassionate•Responsible

As a semi-retired (work from home) animal lover, I have the time, flexibility, and experience to provide exceptional care for your pets. While I'm new to Rover, I'm certainly not new to pet care. I've been caring for dogs and cats for over 50 years—ever since I was 10 years old! NOTE: I go by MEG not Margaret. I offer: * Dog walking * Drop-in visits for dogs and cats * Doggy daycare in your home or mine * Cat daycare in your home * Short-term overnight stays in your home * Long-term boarding in my home for dogs I maintain a clean, comfortable home with a large yard in a quiet neighborhood. Although the yard is not fenced, your pet's safety is always my top priority, and they will be supervised at all times. I also drive a clean, reliable vehicle should your pet need transportation. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm companion, I'll tailor my care to their individual needs and routine. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. When your pet is with me, they'll be treated like one of my own—with love, patience, compassion, and plenty of attention. My goal is to ensure they're safe, happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away, giving you complete peace of mind. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family members. Thank you for considering me for your pet care needs!

From the moment we arrived at Margaret's home and saw the personalized welcome sign, waiting for Nellie, I knew she was going to be in a very special place. It was such a thoughtful touch that immediately made me feel welcomed and reassured.. Nellie affectionately known as “Nervous Nellie” can be quite anxious and takes time to feel comfortable in new surroundings. Meg showed her so much patience, kindness, and love that she quickly felt safe and at ease. Every day she enjoyed walks, plenty of snuggles and the attentive care she needed. It was clear that Nellie wasn’t just being looked after – she was truly being loved. One of the things I appreciated most was receiving daily updates, and sweet photos of my girl, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Seeing Nellie, happy, relaxed, and enjoying herself, made it easy to fully enjoy my trip. Her care went far beyond simply pet sitting. Nellie was treated like family, paying attention to every detail and always putting her comfort and happiness first. I’m so grateful for the exceptional care Meg provided and would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for someone who is caring, conscientious, trustworthy, and willing to go above and beyond for your beloved pet. Thank you Meg!♥️

Meg is a genuinely kind and compassionate person who has a deep love for animals. I’ve witnessed her exceptional care for her pets and mine on numerous occasions. Whenever we’ve needed someone to watch over our furry companions, Meg has always been the first person we think of. And on a few occasions when we’ve needed assistance, she has offered her help even though we had moved pretty far away. Meg has also taken great care of my pets when they’ve been facing health issues. She never complains or feels burdened by the responsibility; instead, she finds joy in their company and is always happy to provide them with the care they need. I have complete trust in her, and it’s reflected in my will. If anything were to happen to me, I have explicitly stated that she should be the first person they should contact if they’re interested in taking care of my pets.

We had our kitty for just 4 months before I needed to travel out of town for open heart surgery. Through sheer luck, a friend of a friend recommended Meg and Jeff. When we took our baby to their house, we immediately knew that we had stumbled upon real animal lovers. They made us feel super comfortable about our decision. During the 6 weeks they fostered Frankie, they kept in touch with us regularly, sending photos and notes. Jeff and Meg kept him safe, healthy and loved. I give them the highest recommendation. Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I maintain a large clean home... a calm environment. Your pet can enjoy solitude if needed or is welcome to spend time with my hubby and me in all areas of our home (no children/no pets/no smoking). Alternatively I'm available to stay in your home if that makes your pet more comfortable. I have navigated both scenarios. I'm used to following detailed written instructions so your pet will feel comfortable with their usual routine and expectations. I will maintain contact so you can receive updates and photos. If I am sitting for another pet I would clear it with both families.
