PAWS Volunteer & Pet Lover
Hi! I'm currently a book editor in Skokie and work from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I'm available for Rover bookings from 5:00–10:00 p.m. on those days, and I have open availability throughout the day on Wednesdays and Fridays. My weekend schedule varies, so feel free to reach out! I grew up with four dogs and spent much of my childhood helping care for them through daily walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. Later, I shared a wonderful cat, Wilma, with my college roommate. Since 2023, I've also volunteered with PAWS Chicago's Adoption Center, where I've gained hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I have particular experience with Labrador Retrievers, pit bulls, mixed breeds, and smaller high-energy dogs. One of the things I miss most about growing up with dogs is having them around every day. Spending time with animals has always been one of my favorite things, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality. Whether your pet loves long walks, active play, enrichment activities, or simply some extra companionship, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and care while you're away. Whether you need help with a last-minute schedule change or are looking for a reliable and attentive caregiver, I'd love to help keep your pets happy, safe, and well cared for.

When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. Whether that means walks, feeding, playtime, administering simple care instructions, or providing companionship, I always follow the owner's preferences and pay close attention to each pet's individual needs and personality. I believe pets thrive when they feel safe, loved, and engaged, so I make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and mental stimulation while in my care. I will provide lots of photos and videos throughout my visits so you can stay updated and have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were my own and ensure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for throughout our time together.

Margret did a fantastic job watching my little Pup Tart. She followed all instructions to a tee and little Tart was beaming when I returned from my trip. I will be sticking with her in the future and could not recommend her more to others!
Maggie was wonderful with my cat, Mr. Bigglesworth! She took care of him for a week on very short notice and kept me updated with plenty of pictures and videos throughout her visits. Despite the last-minute request, she was incredibly accommodating, which took away so much of my anxiety while I was away. It was clear she genuinely cared about him, and I came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat. I would definitely recommend her!
Maggie watched my poodle in Lincoln Park and took such great care of him! She is very dependable and is overall a wonderful pet sitter.
Maggie is absolutely wonderful! She cared for my beloved dachshund Watson and did a fantastic job. He has special needs and she handled all of them perfectly as instructed over the weekend that I was gone. She did such a good job that I had her watch him again over a week which I’ve never trusted another dog watcher with. I could not recommend her more! 5 stars!

Schedule
I work full-time as a book editor in Skokie from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, which allows me to offer pet care between 5:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on those days. I have open availability throughout the day on Wednesdays and Fridays, and my weekend schedule is flexible. I'm currently located in Avondale with a car for easy and quick transportation. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I enjoy spending my free time walking, playing with, and caring for animals. I always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection during our time together.
