Safety, trust & environment

I am unable to board pets at my home as my roommate has two cats and a dog, but I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their familiar environment. I prioritize their safety and well-being and will always be respectful of your space, property, and privacy. Your pet will be in good hands while you’re away!

Information Margaret R. would like to know about your pet

Before sitting for your pet, it’s essential to discuss their temperament and any specific behaviors, including how you handle bad behavior and reward good behavior. I’ll need to know about any medical issues, allergies, and medications to administer. Understanding their daily routine, including feeding and exercise, will help maintain consistency. It’s also important to know who to contact in case of an emergency, any triggers or fears your pet may have, and if they can be left alone—and for how long. Any additional information you provide will help me offer the best possible care for your furry friend!

A typical day

A typical day for your dog will be filled with fun activities tailored to their needs and energy level. We’ll start with a refreshing walk, exploring new neighborhoods and parks (I'm new to Seattle and also looking to see new areas!) and then we can enjoy playtime with their favorite toys, followed by some cozy cuddle sessions. Depending on their energy, we might have a relaxing afternoon or a fun play session. I’m dedicated to providing a day full of love, engagement, and care, ensuring your dog feels happy and comfortable!

Caring, Reliable Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

I’ve been an animal lover since childhood and grew up with three amazing dogs. From puppyhood to their senior years, Chip, Buddy, and Gus taught me a lot about love, responsibility, and special care needs. Chip needed training to manage reactive behaviors, which taught me patience and consistency. Buddy’s hip problems in old age required gentle handling and mobility support, while Gus needed frequent baths and medication due to severe allergies. I’ve also helped my aunt care for foster puppies, including bottle-feeding and potty management. Although I always saw myself as a dog person, I developed a real love for cats after living with two for three years. I’ve grown comfortable with administering medications, trimming nails, and ensuring enriching play for cats as well. I’m happy to care for any animals—whether dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, reptiles, or birds. I bring empathy, reliability, and experience to every pet I care for!

Maggie was easy to communicate with-very responsive and helpful. This was my first booking with Rover, so I had questions about changing dates and times on our booking and she helped me navigate the app. We appreciated that she had experience with other large breed dogs - it’s not easy to find walkers who can handle a 150 lb dog. Thanks, Maggie!

We’ve had Margaret come twice now for our pup, the most recent an overnight stay. Skye has been happy and well cared for each time and we get lovely updates on how she’s doing while we are away!

Maggie was an amazing sitter in our home - she took such good care of our Loki - who is a big dog and has been having some bouts of vomiting. Not only that, she sent wonderful updates and pictures and went above and beyond to leave our home clean and taken care of!

Thank you for coming and spending time with our anxious pup! You made her feel at ease quickly and we enjoyed the pics of the happy girl. Thanks for your great communication, too!
