Availability
I currently work full time while continuing to grow my pet care career. My schedule varies throughout the week, so availability can change depending on the day, but I stay very organized and intentional with the clients I take on. Even with a busy schedule, I prioritize reliability, communication, and consistency because I know how important dependable care is when someone is trusting me with their pets.

About Margaret M.
Safety, trust & environment
I’m extremely meticulous when caring for pets in someone’s home. Working professionally with animals taught me very quickly that consistency and attention to detail matter a lot, especially for pets who thrive on routine. I follow instructions carefully, keep feeding and potty schedules consistent, and make sure pets stay comfortable in their normal environment. I also respect every home as if it were my own and make sure everything is left exactly how I found it or better. I pay attention to cleanliness, safety, and the little details that help both pets and owners feel comfortable and confident while they’re away.
Information Margaret M. would like to know about your pet
The biggest things I need to know ahead of time are any triggers, behaviors, or fears like reactivity, anxiety, or anything that could affect how I approach them. I also need clear info on food sensitivities, allergies, medications, or health conditions so I can care for them safely. It’s also helpful to know their energy level, personality, and any limitations, especially for senior pets or pets with special needs so I can adjust walks, activity, and handling appropriately. My goal is always to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy in a way that fits them, not a one size fits all approach.
A typical day
For more active dogs, I focus on structured walks where they can sniff, explore, and get good exercise at their pace. I’m also very active and happy to match their energy, whether that means a longer walk or just extra time outside moving around and engaging with their environment. For dogs that prefer a slower pace, or seniors, I slow everything down and make sure they still get enrichment, gentle movement, and plenty of time to just enjoy being outside without overdoing it. For dogs with special needs, I follow their routine closely and make sure they’re safe, comfortable. For cats, it’s all about their personality. Some want play and attention, some just want calm company. I adjust to whatever makes them most comfortable and make sure their routine stays consistent.

Cat care experience
I have a combination of professional pet care experience and firsthand experience caring for a cat with complex medical needs. I rescued my cat Smokey after finding him crying in a storm drain during college, and over the years I’ve managed chronic cardiac issues with him that required close monitoring, medications, routine changes, and constant attention to behavior and symptoms. This experience has made me extremely observant, patient, and detail oriented when it comes to feline care. I’m very comfortable following detailed care instructions, monitoring for subtle behavior changes, maintaining clean feeding and litter areas, and helping cats feel safe and comfortable in their normal environment. I know cats can be sensitive to change, so I focus heavily on consistency, calm energy, and respecting each cat’s boundaries and personality.
Reviews
We LOVE Maggie! She is great with our little Westie, very caring, patient and knowledgeable. Zeke loves when he sees Maggie at our front door! She follows our detailed care instructions perfectly, is always on time and takes her time with Zeke on each visit. She is our "go to" when we need a quick walk for Zeke or when we are away for longer.
